OPROER Release New Song "Cold Feet"
5 December 2025 Live @ Ancienne Belgique
After announcing an AB show (Main Hall - December 5th) on Tuesday, Oproer now also share the first single 'Cold Feet' of their upcoming album, set for autumn 2025. The track uses the metaphor of a chase to portray an intense relationship between two lovers. They get caught in a game of push and pull, where they try to stay one step ahead of each other. You can feel the tension of this chase through the energy of the song. Catching and uplifting melodies in a driving tempo, so you better get into your starting blocks. This one's built to move!
Oproer, unrest and revolt in the danceable darkness of the eighties. With a mix of dynamic, today's pop and rock with nostalgic undertones, Oproer irrevocably pops into your ears. Carefully the five create a style that meanders between dark and danceable, ecstatic and recognisable, but above all deliciously catchy.
A warned man... knows, of course, that their debut album 'We're All Late Tonight' (2023) was extremely infectious. Resulting in a sold-out Ancienne Belgique. Shows at Vooruit, Het Depot, Paradiso Amsterdam and a European tour with American band Fantastic Negrito confirmed what is no longer a secret: Oproer can't be stopped.
In the second album, Oproer pushes itself towards an even richer sound, with even more hooks that settle in your head and are eager to stay there. The group of five sticks together so hard that they don't shy away from anything. Bold production choices and an even more sophisticated sound ball them together into a thoughtful whole. All this wrapped up in a sound that feels huge, yet always intimately close.
Front man Dries sings of the unexpected turns in life - the moments that throw you off balance and force you to regain your equilibrium. From a fleeting glance that touches you deeply to the feeling of losing something close to your heart.
