Om medische redenen is James Arthur helaas genoodzaakt zijn concert dat vanavond in Forest National, Brussel gepland stond, te annuleren.
De organisator en het team van de artiest doen er alles aan om een nieuwe datum te vinden voor een mogelijke inhaalshow. Personen die in het bezit zijn van een ticket voor vanavond zullen persoonlijk gecontacteerd worden.

It's with deep regret that James Arthur is unable to perform in Brussels today. He has fallen ill and, unfortunately, is not in a condition to sing. James is absolutely gutted, he's completed more than 100 shows over the past year and a half without a single medical cancellation, but his vocal health has now taken a hit and he needs to prioritise recovery.
We are currently looking into whether a reschedule is possible, and we will do everything we can to make that happen if it's at all feasible. We'll share further information as soon as we have it. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Gary 'Mani' Mounfield, bassist van de Britse band The Stone Roses, is op 63-jarige leeftijd overleden. Zijn broer maakte het overlijden donderdag bekend op sociale media. Mounfield speelde ook jarenlang bas in de band Primal Screa.

Domino Soundtracks is pleased to announce the release of Animal Collective's Deakin and Geologist's original soundtrack to the 2025 documentary Jetty. The soundtrack is available digitally today with a vinyl release set for April 17th. Jetty was directed by Sam Fleischner, who has previously created music videos for Panda Bear, MGMT, and Santigold. The film documents the reconstruction of New York City's Rockaway Beach after its destruction by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and was lauded as "hypnotically fascinating" (The New Yorker) and "utterly absorbing" (The Criterion Channel's Current) upon release. Jetty is available to stream now and will also be screened at theaters in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the Humboldt International Film Fest this month. Dates for those screenings are below, and today fans can watch a clip of the film set to one of the soundtrack's highlights, "Boardwalk."

De Brusselse artiest en producer Shungu bracht op 7 november zijn nieuwe album Faith in the Unknown uit bij Lex Records. Voor dit project omringt hij zich met een gemeenschap van artiesten die zijn visie delen, waaronder Pink Siifu, Liv.e, Navy Blue, Maxo, dreamcastmoe, Fly Anakin, Goya Gumbani, Fatima, Chester Watson, Ruqqiyah en ZEKEULTRA. Ter gelegenheid van de release presenteert hij ook een nieuwe videoclip voor "Butterfly", zijn allereerste nummer met ZEKEULTRA.
Shungu vertelt:
" Dit album is met de tijd opgebouwd, in vertrouwen en met het nemen van risico's. Ik hoop dat het mensen diep zal raken en hen zal uitnodigen om na te denken, te voelen en vragen te stellen."
Bekend om zijn unieke aanpak, waarin kosmische groove, jazz-sampling en underground hiphopinvloeden samenkomen, heeft Shungu al met een brede internationale scene samengewerkt.
Hij zal Faith in the Unknown deze maand live voorstellen tijdens een Europese tour, met data in Londen, Berlijn, Parijs, Brussel en Amsterdam.

Iskander Moon kondigt zijn langverwachte debuutalbum Salt Moon City aan dat op 20 februari via [PIAS] Recordings zal verschijnen. Het album werd door hem zelf geschreven, opgenomen en geproduceerd en de mix werd verzorgd door Jasper Maekelberg (Balthazar, Warhaus, Sylvie Kreusch).

Na zijn EP van 2024 Are You Lost Here?, verkent de jonge artiest met dit album een nieuwe muzikale horizon. Op Salt Moon City verweeft Iskander Moon de persoonlijke, introspectieve songwriting van artiesten als Sufjan Stevens en Paolo Nutini met de uitgestrekte grandeur van Coldplay, terwijl hij subtiel knikt naar de harmonische rijkdom van Bach en Debussy. Waar zijn debuut-EP aanvoelde als een persoonlijke dagboeknotitie, voelt dit album als een filmische, widescreen-versie. Na twee jaar spelen met zijn band is Moon's geluid opengebroken: strijkers en koperblazers golven door de arrangementen en transformeren stille introspectie in iets stralends en gemeenschappelijks. Liedjes zoals de eerdere single Ghosts tonen een songwriter die leert grotere ruimtes in te nemen.
De afgelopen jaren zocht Iskander Moon regelmatig de anonimiteit van de grote stad op. Hij verkaste voor langere periodes naar New York, Berlijn en Florence, en de avonturen die hij daar beleefd heeft, vormen het startpunt voor dit debuut. Hij schrijft over de liefde, uiteraard, en ook al kent niet elk verhaal een happy end, toch resulteert dat niet in donkere depressies of verpletterende eenzaamheid. De eerste ideeën voor Salt Moon City kregen vorm in Zweden waar hij in een afgelegen hutje aan een bevroren meer het isolement opzocht. Het uitzicht was idyllisch en de stilte werkte inspirerend.
Met Salt Moon City presenteert Iskander Moon zich als een veelzijdig artiest: singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist en producer, die een tijdloze, levende muzikale wereld creëert — een stad van zout en herinneringen, ergens tussen droom en daglicht. Ook staat zijn stem centraal: zacht, rauw en ongefilterd, en zijn vermogen om fragiliteit en zelfvertrouwen in gelijke mate te laten klinken. Dat is ook op de nieuwe single Tear You Up te horen; een tedere, nachtelijke ballad over dat ene moment in de nacht, aan de bar, waarin je openhartig met vreemden praat — een bekentenis die tegelijk bevrijdend en intiem is. Het is een soulvolle pianoballad rond een Wurlitzer, omhuld met fluwelen koperblazers en strijkersarrangementen van Reinhard Vanbergen.

BAT EYES KEERT TERUG MET NIEUWE SINGLE "ALAMINE"

De Belgische indie-powerpopband Bat Eyes laat opnieuw van zich horen. Twee jaar na hun titelloze debuutalbum komt het viertal met Alamine, een verrassend zachte en bijna mystieke track die zich duidelijk loswrikt van hun vertrouwde gitaar-gedreven geluid.
De groep rond zanger en songwriter Koen Wijnant — in 2019 opgericht en intussen uitgegroeid tot een vaste waarde binnen de Belgische indiescene — staat bekend om hun melodieuze, licht melancholische popliedjes met een knipoog naar de jaren '90. Maar Alamine toont een andere kant van de band: minder rechtlijnig, meer zwevend, haast alsof het nummer per ongeluk is blijven hangen tussen twee gedachten
"Dat is niet ver van de waarheid", vertelt Wijnant, "Het is echt de vreemde eend op de nieuwe plaat waar we aan werken. Er was geen demo, geen repetitie, niets. Gewoon wat akkoorden en een melodie in mijn hoofd."
In de studio werd het nummer in een uur tijd bijna intuïtief opgebouwd. Wijnant neuriede ideeën, opname-engineer Peter zocht er ter plekke klanken bij: een percussieve synth hier, een paar losse pianonoten daar. Het resultaat is een nummer dat niet zozeer af is, maar eerder ademt: dromerig, klein, en verrassend lichtvoetig.
Bat Eyes (tegenwoordig bestaande uit Wijnant, Luna De Bruyne, Tomas Serrien en Birger Ameys) wist met hun debuutalbum al een eigen plek te veroveren in het Belgische gitaarlandschap. Met Alamine lijkt de band te suggereren dat de opvolger ambitieuzer wordt: minder voorspelbaar, meer op zoek naar sfeer en gelaagdheid.
Alamine is vandaag te beluisteren op alle streamingplatformen. Verdere details over het nieuwe album worden in de komende maanden verwacht.
Mattan records news - Ólöf Arnalds – Spira
De IJslandse singer-songwriter Ólöf Arnalds brengt op 5 december haar nieuwe album Spíra uit. Hierop verkent ze thema's als liefde, verlies en spiritualiteit. De teksten zijn volledig in het Ijslands, de arrangementen zijn doelbewust minimalistisch en bijna alle tracks zijn in 1 take opgenomen. Hiermee keert ze terug naar de kern van haar songwriting, waarbij ze met een frisse blik opnieuw plezier in het liedjes schrijven heeft gevonden.
Ólöf Arnalds staat bekend om haar betoverende sopraanstem en intieme composities. Haar eerdere werk werd met veel lof ontvangen. Voor haar debuutalbum Við og við ontving ze van Iceland Music Awards de award voor Best Alternative Album. Eerder tourde ze al de wereld rond en deelde het podium met artiesten als Dirty Projectors, Blonde Redhead, Sigur Rós, Air, CocoRosie, Jonathan Richman en Nick Cave's groep Grinderman.

ZARA LARSSON
When it came time to make her fourth international studio album, „Midnight Sun", Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson had her first choice of collaborators on speed dial. "I knew it had to be MNEK," she says of her "Never Forget You" duet partner and friend. On day one, together with the rest of her team — up-and-coming producer Margo XS and songwriter Helena Gao, they made "Midnight Sun" and lead single "Pretty Ugly"; looking around at each other, Zara says, they realized there was magic in the room. IDLES

CLIPSE
In the more than 15 years since the last Clipse album hit the shelves of record stores, the music world has been upended several times over. But the enthusiasm for Clipse never waned. This year's „Let God Sort 'Em Out" was one of the most highly anticipated releases in recent memory, and gave them 5 GRAMMY nominations - a fact that simply underlines the singular talent and lasting influence of Pusha-T and Malice. After all, there's no substitute for the real thing: groundbreaking artists with unimpeachable resumes. The history of Clipse has been well-documented, yet still retains a sort of mythic quality. The brothers emerged from Virginia Beach, where they had met the Neptunes, who would help them craft some of the most forward-thinking rap music of this century - first with their would-be debut album, „Exclusive Audio Footage", and later with their official releases: „Lord Willin'" (2002), „Hell Hath No Fury" (2006) and „Til the Casket Drops" (2009), as well as their unforgettable mixtape run from the mid-2000s. Reneé Rapp is a critically acclaimed multi-hyphenate with experience in music, film and TV acting, and Broadway. JADE
Jade Thirlwall has never been interested in sticking to the beaten path. Always uncompromising — both in her approach to pop, as well as in political issues or support for minorities. She gained global popularity during her time in Little Mix, and her very first solo single — last year's "Angel of My Dreams" — showed that Jade is ready to take risks, and that she's exceptionally good at it. "It's a pop punch to the face. I want people to say ‚Oh My God, I didn't expect that' — but then want to listen to it again," she said. Audrey Nuna, the Los Angeles and New Jersey-based singer/rapper/songwriter, is a shapeshifting visionary blurring the lines between pop, R&B, and alternative. "Song by the sea" is een lied over twee geliefden die in een eeuwige omhelzing verstrengeld zijn, veranderd in steen zoals de geliefden van Pompeï, geheiligd en gekanoniseerd, terwijl zij de liefde bedreven op het strand.

THE WRITER
Tsar B's aanstaande derde LP The Writer, die op 30 januari 2026 verschijnt, gaat over smoorverliefd zijn in de dark ages. Verspreid over elf nummers schetst de Belgische componist, songwriter en producer een verhaal vol moed en verontrusting: hoe dieper je liefhebt, hoe zwaarder de wanhoop van de wereld om je heen op je drukt. Desondanks vindt het oeuvre van Justine Bourgeus altijd die speelse invalshoek binnen deze beladen sentimenten.
The Writer -net als de twee voorgaande albums- doet geen concessies als het gaat om het weergeven van pure, ongefilterde emotie. Maar deze plaat vangt Tsar B's hernieuwde groei in het eerlijker omzetten van haar ideeën in muziek. En in veel opzichten ook radicaler, net als de surrealisten die haar het meest hebben geïnspireerd, figuren als David Lynch, Leonora Carrington, Salvador Dalí en Alejandro Jodorowsky.

OVER TSAR B
Tsar B is een veelzijdige artieste: multi-instrumentalist, producer en componiste.
Opgeleid als klassiek violiste, veroverde ze de indie-scene vanaf de release van haar eerste solo-EP, die werd opgemerkt door The Fader, Noisey UK en de BBC.
Sindsdien bracht ze volledig onafhankelijk twee studioalbums en drie EP's uit, en bereidt ze de langverwachte release van haar nieuwe album voor, gepland voor begin 2026.
Als gegeerde componiste voor opera en film heeft Tsar B ook haar plaats veroverd in de danswereld: haar nummers weerklinken regelmatig in So You Think You Can Dance USA en in talloze internationale choreografieën.
