Soap&Skin announces the new single Girl Loves Me of her forthcoming cover album TORSO — which will be released on November 22, 2024 via Play It Again Sam.

No artist in the world covers music as movingly as Soap&Skin. Girl Loves Me is Anja Plaschg's brilliant interpretation of one of the key tracks of David Bowie's final album Blackstar. The Austrian Singer-Songwriter originally performed the full Bowie-album alongside Anna Calvi & Laetitia Sadier in Paris, Amsterdam and Hamburg in 2018. With its slightly yodelling, slippery vocal Girl Loves Me seems to have been written for Plaschg.

The incredible and breathtaking video was shot at the Erzberg in the Austrian Alps, around 1000 years old chestnut trees in Burgenland and in a sawmill.
