Na het enorme succes van hun ‘25th Anniversary Tour’ in 2024, komt de Ierse danssensatie Rhythm of the Dance in juni 2025 terug naar België met hun gloednieuwe en spectaculaire show ‘Feel The Rhythm’. Naast een terugkeer naar Capitole Gent en Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, mag deze keer ook Trixxo Theater Hasselt zich opmaken voor de krachtige ritmes, razendsnelle choreografieën en indrukwekkende liveoptredens bij Rhythm of the Dance. Het visuele en muzikale dansspektakel ‘Feel The Rhythm’ belooft het publiek opnieuw mee te nemen op een adembenemende reis doorheen de rijke geschiedenis en tradities van Ierland, met een frisse en moderne twist. woe 19 maart '25 - in De Vooruit Theaterzaal - Het Zesde Metaal brengt in 2025 hun zesde (en meest emotionele) album ‘Het Langste Jaar’ naar intieme theaterzalen en brengt herwerkte klassiekers en ook nieuwe songs.
Met 'Het Langste Jaar' bracht Het Zesde Metaal in januari hun zesde en meest emotionele album uit, enkele maanden na het overlijden van goede vriend en multi-instrumentalist Tom Pintens, die het album nog als producer afrondde.
Het publiek omarmde de plaat direct, met een razendsnel uitverkochte clubtour in België en Nederland. Na een zomer vol memorabele optredens, trekt Het Zesde Metaal in het voorjaar van 2025 langs knusse theaterzalen voor een intieme theatertour.

Time flies when you're being Tunng. Can it really be over two decades since the band's genre-blurring, self-styled 'pagan folktronica' first emerged from an east London studio. It surely can, and what's more, January 2025 will mark the twentieth anniversary of This is Tunng... Mother's Daughter and Other Songs, a debut longplayer whose acoustic guitars and poetic disquisitions on nature, mythology and the human condition, courtesy of Sam Genders, sieved through fellow band founder Mike Lindsay's lattice of fractured beats and crackling electronics, still sounds like an impiously postmodern wedding of the rustic and the synthetic, the arcane and the futurist.
That 20-year-old signature sound makes a warm return on Tunng's eighth studio album, Love You All Over Again, a winning amalgam of texture and melody, disconcerting imagery and shapeshifting production, predicated, Lindsay reveals, on a conscious reacquainting with the band's first principles. "I went back to the first two albums just to listen to how we fused genres - things like Davy Graham, Pentangle, the Expanding Records catalogue and the Wicker Man soundtrack. Over the years, Tunng's sound has varied and twisted, but at the root there is always a flavour of what Sam and I made on that first album. Rather than searching for a new avenue we went back to what we used to do, which, after all this time, felt like it was a new avenue... Love You All Over Again is our way of coming full circle."
Lead single 'Didn't Know Why' is a dauntless face-off between metallic synths and pellucid guitar arpeggiation with lyrics about a familiar Tunng song character, Jenny. "It's very Tunng: dark but then warm and melancholic. Sam heard this and immediately brought back the murderous Jenny, who has appeared on two previous Tunng albums". Genders offers his take on Jenny. "She once represented a kind of romantic ideal - 'the one' - but now she's a sort of every-person - a kind of archetype of all of us!"
Love You All Over Again is an album that gets to the very essence of Tunng. "For Tunng to work, it has to feel surprising, odd and unpredictable, and the new album has all that. It's all about Tunng being back, as a family, within our original boundaries, bringing the love to all who have been a part of our journey over 20 years." Lindsay sums up nicely.

HALF WAIF EMBRACES ECSTATIC TOGETHERNESS ON NEW ALBUM ‘SEE YOU AT THE MAYPOLE’
Half Waif aka Nandi Rose found out she was pregnant in the summer of 2021 and anticipated nine months of writing music through a new, maternal lens. But when a soundless morning arrived that December, the music which became the new album 'See You At The Maypole' took on a new life, one that would seize the uncomfortable reigns of uncertainty. ‘See You At The Maypole’ is both a recognition of personal sadness and a call to ecstatic togetherness. It is gathering the colors of our spirit, in all its shades, and making something intricate and remarkable. The ceremonial folk dance performed around a maypole is filled with fauna and flora, with ribbons woven into complex braids incapable of unraveling; these dances are survivals of ancient ritual, honoring the living trees, and the return of Spring and fertility. These patterns––this dance––cannot be completed alone, and so, Half Waif welcomes others to join her, a collective of bleeding color. “We are so much stronger for the colorful experiences we go through,” she says. “That's where we find our humanity and find each other.”
New York City-based choir Khorikos adorns several songs, most notably on‘Fog Winter Balsam Jade’, urging a mantra of collective howling. Naming those stomach-prodding reminders of grief but still recognizing their beauty: cutting an apple in the kitchen; watching a bird take flight from the back yard; a morning glory climbing up the corner of the house (‘Collect Color’); a sunset in the rearview mirror (‘I-90’); fog, winter, balsam and jade. The natural world has often been a cradle to Rose––a gentle sway of serenity––but it’s on‘See You At The Maypole’ that she had to look to its tougher lessons and embark on a metamorphosis of her own. “Let me be oak,” she utters on‘Heartwood’. “I embrace in all directions.”
“This wasn’t just my story, I wanted to say. It was every story of loss—the loss of a life, the loss of a dream, the loss of trust and hope and faith. A story of finding a way back again,” Rose explains. “My own avenue back to the land of the living was through my relationships with people and with the natural world. It only seemed right that these songs would invite those people in to build the very heart of the sound.”
To that end, Hensler and Rose welcomed a wealth of players and friends into the world of the record: Jason Burger and Zack Levine on drums and percussion; Josh Marre (Blue Ranger) on guitar; Hannah Epperson and Elena MoonPark on violin; Kristina Teuschler on clarinet; Willem de Koch on trombone;Rebecca El-Saleh on harp; and Spencer Zahn on upright bass.
Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Bon Iver) lent his deft mixing skills to many of the tracks, including lead single ‘Figurine.’ “Descriptors just wouldn’t do“Figurine” justice; the song is a complex, emotive portrait of one life altered by the passing of another,” said Paste. “The song itself appears to be a lovely, if melancholy, ode to this loss, with lyrics like "I love you every morning when the sun / Is rising in the yard" coinciding with lyrics like "I felt it growing in me / And now everything is gone", representing the flood of conflicting emotions Rose and her loved ones must have been grappling with in this time,” added TheNeedle Drop.
In the coming days Half Waif will perform two album release shows – one in upstate New York and one in Brooklyn – and will then tour the country in support of ‘See You AtThe Maypole’ beginning at the top of 2025 with select EU shows in February. All upcoming dates are listed below.

Op haar nieuwe single ‘Future Shock’ verweeft Bobbi Lu (née Lucy Ryan, opgegroeid in Oxford, de liefde gevolgd naar Brugge) op meesterlijke wijze elementen van artpop, dancepop en electronic indie tot een fascinerend geheel, waarbij ze met subtiele stemeffecten en een stuwende Running Up That Hill-esque drum groove bezwerende en soms onverwachte harmonieën creëert.
In de song deelt Lucy haar groeiproces als mens en artiest, waarin ze eerst twijfelt, stress ervaart en opnieuw begint, om uiteindelijk te groeien en te landen. Het is het verhaal van haar reis van mentale drukte naar emotionele helderheid.
‘Future Shock’ is een van de sleuteltracks van haar debuutalbum, ‘Arrow, Four’, dat op vrijdag 25 oktober verschijnt. Het is ook het nummer waarmee ze doorgaans haar live set afsluit en daarmee keer op keer indruk maakt op haar publiek. De productie van het nummer was in handen van Pieter-Jan ‘Moushi’ Cools en Tobie Speleman.
Bobbi Lu stelt op zaterdag 26 oktober haar album voor tijdens Sonart in de Club van Ancienne Belgique.

"Ding Dong" luidt niet enkel de titel van de nieuwe single van Sylvie Kreusch, maar ook haar ticketalarm. Het concert op 25 april in De Roma was in een mum van tijd uitverkocht. Om nog meer fans de kans te geven om de Belgische sensatie live aan het werk te zien, wordt er een extra concert in De Roma toegevoegd, op zaterdag 26 april. Sylvie Kreusch is uitgegroeid tot een van de meest indrukwekkende en opwindende artiesten in Europa. Even voorstellen – The Courteeners – Pink Cactus Café
De indierockband Courteeners brengt op 25 oktober hun zevende studioalbum Pink Cactus Café uit via Ignition Records.
Het album werd gemixt door Mike Crossey (bekend van Arctic Monkeys, FOALS, Wolf Alice) en gemasterd door Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Pixies, Placebo, Sam Fender).
De langverwachte opvolger van het veelgeprezen More. Again. Forever. (2020) bevat samenwerkingen met artiesten zoals DMA’S, Brooke Combe, Pixey en Charlie Salt (Blossoms), en toont een spannende nieuwe richting voor de band. Liam Fray over het album: "The last record came out on the cusp of lockdown so straight away I went into panic (writing) mode...on my own but with no real plan. I wasn't sure if it was going to be a side project, Courteeners, solo project. Just songs. Everything was up in the air.
