Ahead of the release of her fourth studio album, Unclouded, this Friday, Melody's Echo Chamber releases new track, "The House That Doesn't Exist".
Featuring swooping strings, "The House That Doesn't Exist" has a diaphanous elegance, climbing vertiginously and then concluding pleasingly in the lower register. The symbiotic working relationship between Melody and producer Sven Wunder is epitomised, with Melody's electrifying verses being answered each time by the complimentary ensemble.
"The House That Doesn't Exist turns the impossible perspective of a joyful human life in today's world into reality, evoking a new sense of faith." says Melody.
The track arrives today alongside a beautiful haunting video by long term collaborator, Diane Sagnier.
Additionally, Melody's Echo Chamber will be doing a Q+A and signing at London's Rough Trade East on Wednesday 10thDecember.
Unclouded features previously released singles "In The Stars", which was praised by Clash for "its drifting psych-pop ambience", "Eyes Closed" which was included in Under The Radar's 'Best Songs of the Week' and El Michels Affair collaborative track "Daisy" which Stereogum labelled as "bright, delicate and airy...mov(ing) with a skip in its step".
"The music I create unusually inhabits the liminal zone between realism and fables," says Melody. "But the more experience I have of living, the deeper I love life and the less I need to escape. If my heart still belongs to the blue hour, it also feels like I've gathered upall the pieces of myself that were scattered everywhere and glued them together with gold like Japanese kintsugi." (Kintsugi is a Japanese art where broken pottery is put back together with gold or silver lacquer).
Unclouded's impressive cast includes Swedish maestro Sven Wunder (Danny Brown) who co-produced the record and contributed to the writing, bringing his unique sonic palette to the richly-textured canvas; Josefin Runsteen on strings, who brings her avant-garde smarts to the tableau; Dina Ögon's Daniel Ögen on guitar and Love Orsan on bass who Melody describes as "masters of the velvet groove"; British drummer Malcolm Catto, collaborator with Madlib and DJ Shadow, and the powerhouse behind The Heliocentrics; frequent collaborator Reine Fiske (of Dungen) who laid down some stunning, Johnny Marr-esque guitar parts that can be found throughout the record
Last but not least, Leon Michels - the Wu-Tang, The Carters, Norah Jones and Clairo collaborator - worked with Melody on the album's closer and recently released single "Daisy", a sparkling pop song plucked from the ether. El Michels Affair's Grammy-winning mixer Jens Jungkurth, was drafted in to bring everything to life.
Unclouded is brimming with the positive energy that propelled Prochet across the world on Melody Echo Chamber's lauded "comeback" tour of 2022. On returning to the Alps of High Provence, she began writing in earnest. What inspired her? "My deeper love for the living experience," she says. "I still get ups and downs but I'm faster at getting back to more harmonious feelings."
Unclouded is an album that celebrates the present moment, whatever state we find ourselves in.

Simple Plan is terug en grootser dan je zou denken! Tijdens de 'Bigger Than You Think! Europe Tour 2026' vieren de Canadese poppunkiconen hun 25ste verjaardag. Op maandag 5 oktober 2026 vindt het feest plaats in Ancienne Belgique in Brussel. Voor de gelegenheid brengen ze Neck Deep mee als special guest.

Al meer dan twintig jaar is Simple Plan een van de meest invloedrijke en succesvolle poppunkbands ter wereld. Hun debuutplaat uit 2002, 'No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls' behaalde meermaals platina en leverde hits op als "I'd Do Anything", "I'm Just a Kid", "Addicted" en "Perfect". Dankzij songs als "Welcome to My Life", "Summer Paradise" en "What's New Scooby-Doo" werd hun status voorgoed bevestigd. Even voorstellen - Lip Service kondigt derde single ‘The Water’ aan
Lip Service laat opnieuw van zich horen met ‘The Water’, de derde single uit hun aankomende album dat op 6 februari 2026 verschijnt.

De aankondigingen volgen elkaar in sneltempo op: vorige week werd de band toegevoegd aan de line-up van WE ARE OPEN (Trix) op 14 februari 2026, waar ze hun nieuwe album voor het eerst aan het grote publiek zullen voorstellen. De week erop spelen ze hun release show in Gent op 19 februari in ANKER. Dat wordt een bijzondere show in de Kerk van Meulestede. Later die maand spelen ze ook nog in Brussel en Tilburg gepland.
‘The Water’ is een dromerig stukje indiepop dat naadloos aansluit bij deze tijd van het jaar. Het water lonkt als een belofte van loutering, maar wat het weerspiegelt blijft altijd net buiten bereik. Het nummer zuigt je mee naar beneden, om je vervolgens weer zachtjes boven te laten komen, een sfeervolle balans tussen lichtheid en diepte.
Lip Service, met Hannah en Kasper Cornelus (Flip Kowlier, ’t Zesde Metaal), Roel Deplancke (Lézard) en Mathijs Steels (SHHT, Ciska Ciska), staat bekend om zijn vrijzinnige, minimalistisch bombastische sound en speels dansbare liveshows. Hun muziek mengt een brede waaier aan invloeden tot eigenwijze popsongs vol hoekige grooves en melodieën die blijven hangen.

Flash back, to a time of big men and bigger babies! January, 2016. The times: scary. Tomorrow: kiss it goodbye. This was the headspace for Emotional Mugger's necksnapping sketch when it dropped that very month those ten fateful years ago. "LIVE" "AT" "THE" "BBC", out January 30th, pulls the mask back over our eyes and transports us to their Marc Riley session for the BBC: fifty shows into a furious tour, with a five-headed monstrosity fully backing Ty. Hear their live version of "Candy Sam"
Off the back of 2014's expansive Manipulator and the months of touring that followed, Ty was down to party with whatever extreme, flipped-script scene came welling up through him. Emotional Mugger, its forked tongue stuffed in deep cheek, landed the jump, featuring eleven of the most rancid & monstrous cuts in the Segall catalog — EVEN AS OF TODAY — sequenced, as ever, with an almost mystic third eye/ear predilection for the immaculate distribution of album gravity. Ty played most parts on the album, with some drop-ins from close associates: Wand's Cory Hanson and Evan Burrows, The Cairo Gang's Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin and King Tuff himself, Kyle Thomas. The vibes were so right with this crew, he dubbed them The Muggers, stretched a rubber baby mask over his head, and they all hit the road all over the US and Europe. That's when "LIVE" "AT" "THE" "BBC" happened.
Here, Ty leads the charge: vocals only, his pipes deeply tanned, but otherwise unfettered from their nightly regimen. Hammering out a nineteen minute slice of their regular show, he & The Muggers' free spirits can be heard in EVERY SINGLE MOMENT, with special weirdness coming whenever Cory, Emmett, Mikal and Kyle all chip in on backing vocals. The room feels like barely enough to contain all their shit as they smash through four choice Emotional Mugger cuts and one ostensible finger-in-the-eye, their telescoped take-out of The Doors' "L.A. Woman." Undeniably hot stuff!
What took us so long to get this out? Who knows, maybe the etching? That's right, one side of the vinyl has all the music, the other side's got a rendering of the babyman mask that's haunted so many punters over long nights of the soul since then. "12 Beaufort" is de tweede single van Vagevuur en verkent de turbulente grens tussen zelfreflectie en zelfdestructie. Waar de muziek opnieuw balanceert tussen zware riffs, gelaagde atmosferen en emotionele spanning, duikt "12 Beaufort" dieper in het innerlijke conflict van iemand die zijn eigen fouten kent, maar toch blijft drijven op de storm die hij zelf veroorzaakt.
De song vertelt het verhaal van iemand die weigert verantwoordelijkheid te nemen en schuilgaat in roes, rook en genot, tot de onafwendbare confrontatie met zichzelf. De teksten schetsen beelden van misstappen die steeds zwaarder wegen, een geest die op drift raakt, en een oordeel dat onvermijdelijk nadert.
Muzikaal weerspiegelt "12 Beaufort" deze storm: krachtige gitaren, een dreigende opbouw en een intens refrein dat de emotionele rukwinden van het nummer versterkt. Het resultaat is een track die zowel rauw als herkenbaar is, een song die je meesleept in de volle kracht van de orkaan waarin de protagonist zichzelf verliest en uiteindelijk toch schuld bekent.
De band nam hun eerste plaat op bij Dunk!Studios, met mix door Jannes Van Rossem
en mastering door Tim De Gieter (MuchLuv Studio).

Een nieuwe week, nieuwe headliners voor Suikerrock 2026! Op zondag 9 augustus verwelkomen we twee absolute recordkampioenen van de Lage Landen: Suzan & Freek en Clouseau. Een Nederlands-Belgische tandem die onze traditionele familiedag naar een onvergetelijke climax tilt.
Suzan & Freek
De slotdag van Suikerrock wordt er eentje voor de geschiedenisboeken. Suzan & Freek blijven ondanks uitdagende tijden hoop en liefde verspreiden – en dat doen ze met ongeziene populariteit. Het geluk rond de geboorte van hun eerste kindje Sef, afgelopen zondag, geeft hun verhaal extra glans. In mei vullen ze maar liefst 10(!) uitverkochte stadions in Nederland, maar in België kan je ze slechts drie keer zien… waarvan één keer op Suikerrock! Met hun nieuwe single ‘Niemand’ voegen ze een autobiografische hit toe aan hun indrukwekkende lijst klassiekers zoals ‘Als Het Avond Is’, ‘Blauwe dag’ en ‘Goud’. Verwacht een set vol emoties, liefde en pure euforie.
Clouseau
De Belgische trots wordt opnieuw hoog gehouden door Clouseau. Koen en Kris Wauters weten als geen ander hoe ze een menigte in vuur en vlam zetten. Na meer dan 40 jaar blijft Clouseau een ongeëvenaard instituut in de Belgische muziekwereld. Maar liefst 134(!) concerten speelden ze al in de AFAS Dome (het Sportpaleis voor wie het nog niet wist…), waarvan een groot deel recent nog plaatsvond tijdens hun spectaculaire 40-jarig jubileum. Geen wonder dat ze genomineerd zijn voor een MIA in de categorie Live Act – een erkenning voor hun meesterlijke en muzikaal magistrale shows. Die jubileumviering wakkerde het vuur opnieuw aan: naast een nieuwe zomertour werken de broers in alle rust aan vers materiaal. Details blijven geheim, maar reken erop dat tussen hun karrenvracht aan hits ook enkele verrassingen schuilen.
Op zondag 9 augustus staat Clouseau voor de 13e keer op Suikerrock – een traditie die blijft knallen.

Voor deze 36e editie blijft Dour Festival evolueren en de ervaring van zijn festivalgangers herdenken. Gedragen door een nieuwe energie onthult het festival een reeks gedurfde nieuwigheden die convivialiteit, nabijheid en de unieke dosis gekheid die er heerst centraal zetten. THE OPENING - DE EERSTE ADEMTOCHT VAN DOUR 2026
Vanaf woensdag om 16u geeft The Opening de eerste energieboost van het festival.
Verspreid over vier zones en hun eigen sferen (hiphop, electro, dub en rock) zullen de bassen van de Regular Camping gelijktijdig weerklinken om de vlakte wakker te schudden en de feesten in gang te zetten.
Campers of niet, alle houders van een Doureeeuh Pass (5 dagen) worden uitgenodigd voor dit veelbelovende startschot, bedacht als een echte gezamenlijke viering om het publiek op de best mogelijke manier te ontvangen.

Zoals onlangs aangekondigd voegt Dour twee nieuwe thematische zones toe om het leven op de campings verder te verrijken:
THE RANCH
Een camping in Far West-sfeer, bedacht voor wie een meer uitgesproken en speelse ervaring wil beleven.
Lasso's werpen, een mechanische stier, jacuzzi's en nog veel meer: deze zone biedt heruitgevonden comfort en volledig nieuwe activiteiten.
Een ruimte die draait rond rust en welzijn. Jacuzzi's, chillzones en collectieve afters vormen een echt toevluchtsoord om vijf festivaldagen in de beste omstandigheden door te brengen.

Fresh from their three Grammy nominations last month – for Alternative Performance ("mangetout"), Alternative Album, and Best Album Cover – today, Wet Leg share the new video for "pokemon".
The band's second album moisturizer is largely an album about being, as the band exclaim on "pond song", so "DEEP! IN! LOVE!!!!" and it contains love songs of every stripe: stressed-out, gooey-eyed, gratuitously horny, blissed out, obsessive, mysterious. On "pokemon", Rhian Teasdale takes in nearly all of these emotions across its three and a half minutes running time.
The video – directed by Elliott Arndt of Faux Real – who are a frequent tour support for Wet Leg – reveals a story of a person (played by Alice Longyu Gao) in an unusual relationship with a giant egg, a fitting entry into the surreal Wet Leg archive.
Wet Leg have just finished their UK & Ireland headline tour including a thundering show at London's Royal Albert Hall. The band head back to the US later this month for a string of further live dates.

FKA twigs is a GRAMMY-nominated, multi-disciplinary icon: a singer-songwriter, producer, dancer-choreographer, visual artist, actor, and fashion visionary whose cultural footprint spans music, performance, film, and design. Emerging from London's underground art and club scene, she redefined avant-pop with her debut EP and breakthrough album „LP1" (2014), establishing herself as a singular creative force who writes, directs, and physically embodies her work. Her subsequent albums „Magdalene" (2019) and „Eusexua" (2025) cemented her reputation as one of the most daring artists of her generation - melding movement, experimental sound, and cinematic storytelling. TV GIRL
On the surface, TV Girl is a sunny, throwback splash of '60s French pop and southern California soul. Yet, under that shiny veneer lays a dark heart, beating with sharp wit and cynical alienation. TV Girl, composed of Brad Petering, Jason Wyman and Wyatt Harmon, was formed in 2010 by Petering. Featuring shimmering vocals and sampled beats, the self-titled debut EP of the same year turned heads online immediately. TV Girl unveiled their first full-length album in 2014, the critically acclaimed "French Exit". The album kept true to the TV Girl charm with a bevy of electronic samplings infused throughout light and airy guitars, whirring organs and ethereal vocals. Their second album "Who Really Cares" (2016), found the band doubling down on their heavy use of samples and combining the aesthetic of 90's hip hop with modern psychedelic pop. Four albums and three platinum records later, TV Girl's most recent release, 2025's "Fauxllennium: Japanese Deluxe Edition", is a collaboration record with vaporwave king George Clanton and features guest appearances from Jordana, Frankie Cosmos, Magdalena Bay, Fcukers, and more.
