Holy Wave have been key players in the Austin, Texas rock scene for over a decade. Today, the band announce the new full-length, i'm DADA, out July 10, 2026 via Suicide Squeeze Records. They have also shared the single "S33.u.in/HAL," which evolves from shuffling verses to a heavier climax. Recorded in coastal Mexico, it teases the energy of an album that is equally surreal and propulsive.
On the single, Holy Wave's Ryan Fuson shares: “‘s33.u.in/HAL' is like a prayer to the God of shortcomings, a child God that we are raising to one day be our savior. It was one of the first ideas we worked on for the album, but also one of the last songs we finished. I was listening to a lot of Wagon Christ at the time and wanted the song to basically be a Wagon Christ rip-off, but it just didn’t feel right. Big surprise, that was a tall order. So the song was shelved to the ‘maybe the next album’ part of the new song catalog. Then, late in our demoing phase, Joey and Julian showed up to practice with some ideas for it. We played around with them, and the song literally just started to write itself. We finished that day with essentially the song done, sans lyrics and some finishing details, and it instantly became one of our favorites. I still hope we put out the other version some day, but this is by far the better of the two.”
In Ensenada, Mexico, where the Pacific horizon cuts a clean, unwavering line, Holy Wave recorded their latest full-length, i’m DADA, a record that feels both expansive and newly concentrated for the subterranean pop four-piece. Stepping outside the United States was less a retreat than a shift in perspective, creating distance to recognize a new sound that had been slowly taking shape among them. i’m DADA quickly revealed its character: more propulsive, more candid, and their most structurally deliberate work to date.
Working alongside experimental duo Lorelle Meets the Obsolete at their studio El Derrumbe the sessions folded community into the album, though its emotional core had already formed over months of pre-production. Half of Holy Wave is Mexican, with roots in the El Paso border region, so recording in Ensenada felt intuitive and relaxed. Joo Joo Ashworth, mixing engineer and longtime friend, also provided a pivotal presence helping crystallize the album’s rhythmic language and subtly expanding the band’s sound. The songs began reflecting conversations about fatherhood and partnership, breakups and estrangement, the queasy acceleration of AI, and what it means to remain present and principled while the world lurches unpredictably forward.
This tension is not announced but absorbed into the music. Holy Wave stretches their familiar sense of woozy atmosphere into something leaner and more direct. There are more loops and samples woven throughout than before, grooves that feel constructed, cyclical, hypnotic. Some tracks drift toward dub’s elastic spaciousness; others pulse with cinematic downtempo gravity. There is a fresh sense of momentum throughout the record, rhythms that pull forward, dream-saturated textures, sheets of fuzz, and softly suspended vocals.
“dewey’s dirge” unfolds patiently: hazy guitars bloom, a softened motorik pulse moving steadily beneath. The vocals remain submerged, widening rather than exploding. It feels expansive and reflective, a comedown hymn that trades drama for immersion. “i’m DADA,” by contrast, locks into a lean, circular groove. A tight drum figure, rubbery bassline, and clipped guitar phrase repeat until they begin to feel animate. Lyrically, the song circles the complicated devotion of fatherhood, written in a brief pocket of rare solitude for a parent: Always loving (Try to do what’s right) / Always learning (There’s never enough time). “s33.u.in/HAL” plays like a transmission caught midair, faintly mechanical, immersive without ever fully resolving, capturing the album’s central sensation: the act of trying to communicate clearly through static.
If earlier Holy Wave records often felt defined by their sense of drift, i'm DADA feels newly grounded. The album doesn’t abandon immersion; it disciplines it. Grooves settle, repetitions accrue weight, and the music is composed and unshaken amongst its heavier themes. What emerges is not reinvention but a sharpening, with Holy Wave sounding less like a band drifting through atmosphere and more like one deliberately shaping it amongst the chaos.

Gilla Band are happy to share their first new music in nearly four years, the new single “Giraffe” is released by Rough Trade Records. The hugely original and influential Dublin four piece will also be touring the UK / Europe at the start of 2027.
Giraffe is the first new music from Gilla Band in nearly 4 years and to mark this the band are releasing a very limited 7” picture disc.
For over ten years now, the Dublin quartet — vocalist Dara Kiely, guitarist Alan Duggan Borges, bassist Daniel Fox, and drummer Adam Faulkner — have been redefining what you could loosely call “rock music” in the 21st century, influencing a wide swath of similarly forward-thinking guitar acts along the way.
The band perfected a vision that wasn’t quite post-punk, wasn’t quite noise-rock, wasn’t quite anything besides an idiosyncratic, ground-breaking hybrid that could only come from the four of them - Giraffe is their bold new offering.
Front man Dara explains:
“In this track, the first few sections represent what my general headspace is like. It can be a very scattered and sometimes lonely place. Feeling unloved and finding it difficult to articulate what I’m actually thinking.
The outro on the other hand indirectly details a kind of confirmation that affection towards me does exist. While I appreciate it, I still find that hard to believe. “She chased me out the door with a hairbrush demanding that I would wear a suitable jacket.” It’s a very Irish Mammy action. That amount of love is difficult for me to accept but it is a beautiful thing to have in life.”

The Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend 2026 proved to be unforgettable. More than 450 artists delivered a spectacular three-day musical experience that attracted more than 200.000 visitors to the capital. From sun-drenched performances on the Grote Markt to lively jam sessions in packed bars, the entire city pulsed with music throughout the weekend. And the public also turned out in droves on Sint-Katelijneplein to vote for their favourite emerging jazz band. As a result, GLOMERIS receives the Brussels Jazz Vanguard jury prize, while bruusk. takes home the Brussels Jazz Vanguard People’s Choice Award, making them the very first names to be announced for next year’s edition.
Once again, the festival showcased an ambitious and diverse jazz programme, blending jazz with influences from blues, funk, hip-hop, pop, soul and beyond. Thanks to collaborations with VK, Les Lundis d’Hortense, Greenhouse Talent and the Brussels conservatoires, each festival stage developed its own distinct musical identity: the Grote Markt (Lotto Stage – Contemporary Jazz), Beursplein (OMER Stage – Jazz & Beyond) and Sint-Katelijneplein (Citadines Stage – Next GentStage).
Across 28 bars and in venues throughout the city, audiences enjoyed intimate live performances and — new this year — The Busker Blues Sessions, featuring authentic blues concerts at Les Halles Saint-Géry and The Brasserie.

The Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend once again proved that the future of Belgian jazz is in excellent hands. Following its successful debut last year, the Brussels Jazz Vanguard talent programme has firmly established itself as a key feature of the festival. Over the course of the weekend, 15 emerging bands took to the stage at Sint-Katelijneplein, each presenting their unique sound to both festival audiences and a professional jury.
And - drum roll please - as this year’s jury prize goes to GLOMERIS, while bruusk. takes home the People’s Choice Award. Both acts will open next year's Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend 2027, and will receive additional support from our partners, including VOLTA, VI.BE and Court-Circuit

GLOMERIS is a quartet exploring the boundaries between modern jazz, broken beat and hip-hop. Bruusk is a young jazz ensemble from Ghent driven by a strong urge tob e heard. Rooted in improvisation, their sound blends fusion, afrobeat, Latin, hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass. Live, the band delivers an energetic and contemporary take on jazz. With original material and a fresh approach, they are set on reaching bigger stages and wider audiences.

Het festival Royal Juillet Musical de Saint-Hubert, het Luxemburgse luik van Les Festivals de Wallonie, verwelkomt muziekliefhebbers van 4 tot 26 juli. Naar het thema 'Reizen', de rode draad doorheen de 69e festivaleditie, leest het programma als een reeks ansichtkaarten met uitstapjes naar Italiaanse barok, Russische sacrale muziek, Engelse songs, een hommage aan de John Dowland, de Roemeense Karpaten en de Noorse fjorden. De kick-off is een dubbel openingsconcert met Valère Burnon en Frank Braley. Ook de Belgische tenoren en festivalartiesten van Les Festivals de Wallonie 2026 Pierre Derhet en Maxime Melnik staan op het programma, naast een arrangement voor blazers van Webers opera Der Freischütz. Het festival strijkt zoals steeds neer op bijzondere locaties in de provincie Luxemburg. Denk maar aan het bijna duizend jaar oude kerkje van Waha en de piramidevormige kerk in Libramont. Locals uit de regio zoals Valère Burnon en sopraan Anne-Catherine Gillet staan ook op het programma.

Sarah Julia is een Nederlandse indiefolkband die drijft op hechte zusterband en een opvallend openhartige gevoeligheid. Hun songs balanceren tussen intimiteit en zeggingskracht en geven vorm aan thema's als liefde, verlies en verlangen zonder ooit zwaar te worden.
De band stond al op het podium met onder meer Faye Webster, Jacob Alon en Neil Young, trok door de VS en Europa als support van Paris Paloma en speelde eigen headlineshows in steden als Los Angeles, New York en Londen.
De opmars van Sarah Julia gaat snel, maar voelt tegelijk vanzelfsprekend. Met de EP's 'How Do We Go Back To Being Normal?' (2024) and 'Only Making It Worse' (2025), beide geproduced door Grammy-winnaar Catherine Marks, vonden ze een eigen geluid. Het leverde hen onder meer een plek op binnen Spotify RADAR en een vermelding in YouTube's 100 Artists To Watch 2026. Ook als Spotify EQUAL Ambassador maken ze deel uit van een nieuwe lichting vrouwelijke artiesten die internationaal doorbreekt.
Ook binnen de sector blijft dat niet onopgemerkt. In 2026 wonnen ze de Music Moves Europe Award en een jaar eerder werden ze geselecteerd als Gibson Spotlight Artist. Live waren ze al te zien op sleutelpodia als Eurosonic, Noorderslag en Reeperbahn Festival en deelden ze affiches met onder meer SYML, Mon Rovia en Samia.
In oktober 2026 verschijnt hun debuutalbum 'The Fear That This Is Real', opgenomen in Woodstock met producer Philip Weinrobe (Bigh Thief, Billie Marten, Cass McCombs).
Met een drukke festivalzomer in het vooruitzicht (met passages op Zermatt Unplugged, Bergen Fest, Motel Mozaïque en State Fayre) bouwt Sarah Julia gestaag verder aan een verhaal waarin kwetsbaarheid en kracht moeiteloos samengaan en waarin ingetogen songs blijven nazinderen.

"Whatever It Takes (Break Your Heart)" is de tweede single uit Sarah Julia's aankomende album 'The Fear That This Is Real'. De folkpoptrack gaat over een relatie waarin de ander je maar half tegemoetkomt. "Hun angst om zich volledig open te stellen houdt jou tegen om je liefde helemaal terug te geven, waardoor jullie allebei blijven vastzitten. Je hoopt dat ze beseffen wat ze zullen verliezen als er niets verandert."
Met het nieuwe album 'The Fear That This' Is Real creëert Sarah Julia haar meest coherente muzikale wereld tot nu toe: een harmoniegedreven zussenduo dat schrijft met emotionele directheid en zonder omwegen. Chivv en Henkie T delen op zaterdag 5 december 2026 voor het eerst in jaren het podium als SBMG, en wel voor hun grootste show ooit. 'SBMG in Ziggo Dome' belooft een nostalgische trip langs hun hits, rauwe straat-energie en melodieuze refreinen. Een beloning voor de fans, een mijlpaal voor de urban- en hiphopcultuur.

SBMG – kort voor Sawtu Boys Money Gang – is een van de meest invloedrijke en herkenbare acts binnen de Nederlandse urban scene. Samen vormen Chivv en Henkie T een duo dat meer vertegenwoordigt dan alleen muziek. Ze ontmoetten elkaar op een pleintje in de Bijlmer, zaten bij elkaar op de middelbare school en brachten op vijftienjarige leeftijd al samen muziek uit. SBMG staat voor ambitie, onafhankelijkheid, doorzetten en succes behalen tegen alle verwachtingen in. En succes kwam er voor het duo uit Kraaiennest: 'Oeh Na Na' veranderde in een hit op internet, werd een clubkraker en groeide uit tot cultureel monument. Vanaf dat moment kon niemand meer om hen heen
Repertoire vol hits
Een reeks shows, festivals, albums en hits volgde. Dankzij hun veelzijdigheid wist SBMG zowel de hustle en loyaliteit te beschrijven, maar ook familiebanden in hun muziek vast te leggen, en het vieren van overwinningen. Ze sloegen bruggen tussen speelse dancehall, dansbare clubtracks en harde straatrap. Samenwerkingen met onder meer Lil Kleine, Frenna, Broederliefde, Boef, Lijpe, $hirak, Jayh en Kevin benadrukken het indrukwekkende repertoire dat ze opbouwden tussen 2011 en 2019. In hun omvangrijke discografie zitten hits als '4x Duurder', 'Lit', 'Mandela', ‘Oeh Na Na’ en 'Miljonair'. Tracks die de Ziggo Dome ongetwijfeld op zijn grondvesten zullen doen schudden.
Na jaren van vraag eindelijk realiteit
Na een periode waarin beide artiesten zich volledig focusten op hun succesvolle solocarrières, bleef de vraag naar een gezamenlijke show van SBMG alleen maar groeien. Jarenlang werd massaal gevraagd om Chivv en Henkie T weer samen op één podium te krijgen; die wens wordt in het najaar van 2026 eenmalig werkelijkheid. Met de aankondiging van 'SBMG in Ziggo Dome' op 5 december schrijven de jongens, in samenwerking met Friendly Fire en Top Notch, opnieuw een bijzonder hoofdstuk in hun verhaal.

SEB LOWE KOMT OP 8 DECEMBER MET SCHERPE SONGS EN BRITSE INDIE NAAR KAVKA OUDAAN
Seb Lowe is een van die namen die je beter nu ontdekt dan straks te laat. Op dinsdag 8 december 2026 komt de Britse singer-songwriter naar Kavka Oudaan in Antwerpen, met songs die even scherp als melodieus zijn.

Lowe komt uit Oldham, Greater Manchester, en begon zoals veel artiesten van zijn generatie online. Alleen groeide hij intussen duidelijk uit het algoritme. Met zijn maatschappijkritische Britse indie fileert hij politiek, ongelijkheid en generatiefrustratie, zonder de melodie uit het oog te verliezen.
Zijn songs bewegen tussen indie, alternative folk en politiek geladen singer-songwriterpop. Ze zijn spits, direct en vaak verrassend grappig, met teksten die even snel kunnen bijten als blijven hangen. Denk aan protestmuziek met een jonge Britse tongval: recht vooruit, maar nooit prekerig.
Na zijn doorbraak op TikTok groeide Lowe uit tot een opvallende naam binnen de Britse livescene. Hij stond al op festivals als Glastonbury, The Great Escape en Neighbourhood Weekender, en speelde supportshows voor onder meer Paul Weller, Blossoms en Richard Ashcroft.
In 2026 blijft Lowe tempo maken. Na een reeks nieuwe singles, waaronder Don’t Say No To Hitler, One Day To Live en People Like You trok hij op UK/EU-tour als special guest van Sofia Isella, staat hij op Reading Festival en opent hij voor Pulp in Manchester. Later dit jaar volgt zijn grootste headline tour tot nu toe, met onder meer Manchester Albert Hall en HERE at Outernet in Londen op de planning.
Op 8 december komt die groeiende Britse buzz naar Kavka Oudaan in Antwerpen, klein genoeg om dichtbij te voelen, groot genoeg om te blijven hangen.

Starman records news - Yerra Yerra, Nieuwe single "Mad About You"
Een iconisch nummer met veel emotie en spanning, een gewaagde keuze ook deze classic van Hooverphonic. ‘Mad About You’ heeft zowel iets kwetsbaars als ongrijpbaars. Dat contrast sprak Yerra Yerra aan om voor het eerst een cover op te nemen en de song in hun eigen wereld te laten ademen, zwevend tussen fragiele sensualiteit en raw power.
Yerra Yerra is een Belgische alternative band. Hun verfijnde geluid, diep geworteld in het nu, combineert rauwe kracht met verrassende finesse en ongepolijste emoties. De band brengt een zeer overtuigende mix van heavy rock, punk en wave met invloeden uit de jaren 80/90, zonder al te veel aandacht te besteden aan de grenzen van elk genre. Alles kan bij Yerra Yerra, zolang het maar leidt tot een explosieve liveset, zoals al vele malen is bewezen op talrijke Belgische en Nederlandse podia.
Het veelgeprezen debuutalbum van Yerra Yerra kwam uit in 2023 en leverde hen naast vele goede recensies en veel livewerk ook de status van Belofte van de Maand bij Radio Willy op, compleet met een bijbehorende livesessie.
Nu onder de vleugels van Starman Records wordt er nieuw werk uitgebracht. De eerste singles uit deze samenwerking waren “Nepal” en “Do It Again” geproduceerd door Thomas Valkiers (Meltheads, Kaat Van Stralen, Equal Idiots, The Haunted Youth…) die ook nu weer tekende voor de productie.

Recorded between Donegal's Attica Studios and Holy Mountain Studios in London, Nobody's Coming To Save You was produced by Mark Bowen (Idles) and Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter), alongside engineer Chris Fullard (Idles, Sunn O)))) and mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Swans). The album captures Gurriers scaling up every element that made their debut so compelling - sharper dynamics, towering production and an even more urgent worldview.
Driven by pounding rhythms, jagged guitars and a vocal delivery balancing frustration with determination, the title track encapsulates that evolution perfectly. Speaking about the single, the band - comprised of Dan Hoff on vocals, Ben O'Neill on guitar, Mark MacCormack on guitar, Pierce Callaghan on drums and Charlie McCarthy on bass - explain:
"It's a song that feels hopeless on its first listen, but if you look at it more deeply it's a call to action, no one is going to rise up if everyone expects someone else to do it. We all have to do our part in creating the change."
The track reflects Gurriers' ability to transform disillusionment into momentum. What initially feels bleak gradually reveals itself as something more galvanising: a reminder that meaningful change requires collective action rather than passive expectation. The track started life in response to a particularly irksome review that criticised the band for "saying so many political things but having no answers". "We're a band, we're not a political party! So I used a Vonnegut quote, and one from [American writer and activist] Rebecca Solnit - 'Hope is an axe you can break down doors with' - because I don't have the answers, but these two people might?"
Formed during the pandemic, Gurriers quickly built a reputation for bone-rattling, mosh ready live shows and sharp, socially conscious songwriting. Since their debut's release, the milestones have continued to stack up: a standout appearance on Later... with Jools Holland, main stage performances across Glastonbury's Woodsies and Leftfield stages, and arena support slots with Turnstile and Kneecap.
On Nobody's Coming To Save You, Gurriers channel the spirit of protest, resistance and personal reflection into some of their most ambitious material to date. This is Gurriers taking all the musical chemistry and smart, interrogational worldview that made them great in the first place, and souping it up to the next level. From the rattling tension of the title track's opening moments, to slow-burning intensity and dance-punk hedonism, giving way to a cacophonous, cathartic climax, Nobody's Coming To Save You takes this spirit of the sweaty basement venue and turns it stadium-sized. It's not just loud, but dynamic.
Following a couple of years that saw Gurriers graduate from sweat-soaked clubs to festival main stages and arenas, the band also today announce an extensive UK and European headline tour this autumn, including London's Electric Brixton on 24 October and two major Dublin shows at Vicar Street and 3Olympia Theatre. Supporting the band on the tour each night will be one of Enola Gay, Tramhaus, Really Good Time or Child Of Prague.

Hun eerste concert op Jazz Middelheim vorig jaar maakte meteen duidelijk dat de chemie er helemaal was. Met hun eerste album op zak en na een grootschalige tour doorheen Europa, kondigen Selah Sue en The Gallands het einde van dit mooie verhaal aan met een allerlaatste niet te missen concert in Brussel. Op 20 december 2026 staan ze op het podium van het Koninklijk Circus om hun tour en het jaar in schoonheid af te sluiten. Verwacht een intense en onvergetelijke avond.
Gedragen door de magnetische stem van de Leuvense Selah Sue ontstond Selah Sue and The Gallands uit de samenwerking tussen het Belgische icoon en het vader zoon duo Stéphane en Elvin Galland. Het project combineert organische grooves, hedendaagse jazz, warme soul en gedurfde producties. Zo laat Selah Sue een nog vrijere en instinctievere kant van zichzelf horen. Sinds haar debuut heeft Selah Sue een bijzondere band opgebouwd met het Belgische publiek.
