Faetooth - Dit "fairy doom"-trio uit Los Angeles combineert doom, black metal, shoegaze en sludge tot een unieke sound.
Sinds hun start in 2019 verkennen Ari May (gitaar/zang), Jenna Garcia (bas/zang) en Rah Kanan (drums) thema's als kwetsbaarheid, natuur en mysterie met een betoverende mix van hardheid en sfeer.

Donna Candy smeedt een unieke sound tussen experimentele rock en zware muziek. Ooit begonnen als spontane feestband voor nachtelijke trance-sets, raakte het trio verslaafd aan hun eigen euforische sludge. Uitgerekte tonen, nu-metal basriffs, vervormde fuzz-vocalen en dynamische drumlijnen creëren een hypnotiserende chaos waarin tempo's grillig verspringen. Live ontstaan bizarre momenten van extatische vervreemding, waar metal's clichés en hyperfemininiteit vervagen tot een rauwe, hybride energie.

Ontstaan tijdens de Covid-periode, is Coffin Feeder een metal band die toch nog net iets harder klinkt dan we gewoon zijn, dankzij hun explosieve mix van death metal, grind en hardcore. Met leden uit Aborted, Leng Tch’e, When Plagues Collide en Fleddy Melculy kan het niet fout gaan uiteraard. Sinds hun oprichting in 2021 hebben ze met hun snoeiharde EP’s Stereo Homicide en Over the Top podia in heel Europa verwoest, van kleine clubs tot grote festivals als Summer Breeze, Brutal Assault, Death Feast, en Ieperfest.
In 2025 dropten ze hun eerste full-length album, BIG TROUBLE, via Listenable Records— Bereid je voor op nog meer loodzware riffs, explosieve energie en totale chaos.

Grima Started in 2014 as a studio project by two twin brothers (Vilhelm and Morbius) from Siberia, atmospheric black metal band Grima has gradually grown into a four-piece touring band! On Friday, May 23, they come to Patronaat to convey cold, harsh realities of a truly pagan winter in Siberia. Their mythology is based on the worship of the primeval forest, its power and magic, with Grima being the chief god. Grima is a powerful spirit who protects only those who live in the forest and punishes anyone who disrespects nature. So beware!

Ultar - Ultar is a five-member band from the heart of Siberia, the city of Krasnoyarsk, located amid howling forests and red mountains. Formed in 2011 under a different name (Deafknife) as a post-black metal band, the group was reborn in 2016 with a new name, a new approach and an epic atmospheric sound.

 Houle - Houle is a French black metal band from Paris, formed in 2021. They play a mix of melodic and atmospheric black metal, with strong ocean themes. Because of this theme, the band describes itself as “marine black metal.” They have released one self-titled EP and one studio album, titled Ciel Cendre et Misère Noire (Grey Heavens and Black Misery).

Suldusk - Once a one-woman project of Emily Highfield, is now a five-piece band from Melbourne, Australia, weaving acoustic sounds of dark folk with touches of atmospheric black metal and post-rock. Suldusk’s neo-folk blackgaze evokes the intricate atmosphere of a shimmering midnight forest walk: at once calm and gorgeous, and at times inexorably haunting.

Aquilus - There is something wonderfully unique about Aquilus and their symphonic adventures in metal. Griseus is the name of the masterpiece that put composer Horace Rosenqvist on the map. Aquilus recently released the album Bellum II, which has received rave reviews

Aborted doorkruist Europa … en ze komen niet alleen.
Sinds hun unholy oprichting in 1995 hebben de death metal-kwelgeesten van Aborted zich bewezen als pioniers van het genre, met een onophoudelijke intensiteit en een compromisloze mix van technische perfectie en rauwe emotie. Hun twaalfde studioalbum Vault Of Horrors, uitgebracht in maart 2024 via Nuclear Blast, duikt diep in de schuilhoeken van VHS-cassettes en verhalen die ons al decennia achtervolgen.

Vanuit Brazilië komt Crypta, een death metal-machine die met slechts twee studioalbums klaar is om de wereld te veroveren. Wat ooit begon als Nervosa is uitgegroeid tot een van de beste metalacts die Zuid-Amerika tegenwoordig te bieden heeft.

The Zenith Passage uit de VS, met nauwe banden met het andere death metal-icoon The Faceless, is een unieke band die continu nieuwe en opwindende terreinen verkent.

En uit Nieuw-Zeeland komt Organectomy, zonder twijfel de toonaangevende slam death metal-act van het land. Hun derde album, ‘Nail Below Nail’, is een les in genadeloze brutaliteit.

KNIVEs (uk) – punk - Croisé en ouverture de CLT DRP, LIFE ou Soul Glo, le sextet Knivessurgit de Bristol pour partager sa maîtrise de concerts chaotiques et une écriture nourrie de ses points de vue et images du monde ! Les racines post punk ou hardcore ont muté, revitalisées par ce « noise collective » : tout sauf tiède. Guitares, basse, batterie, voix et… saxophones composent l’instrumentarium de ces docteurs ès énergie brute ! Une bonne leçon en perspective.

IT IT ANITA (B) - Noise rock - Tornade noise rock belge à la redoutable réputation live, le groupe liégeois IT IT ANITA amorçait en 2023 une toute nouvelle ère avec l’album Mouche. Désormais power trio, It It Anita replace l’efficacité au centre de son art, emprunte des chemins inexplorés. Ceux des structures couplet/refrain, de la lumière confrontée à la hargne, d’un phrasé à la Beastie Boys... « un rock que ne renieraient pas Fugazi, Pavement ou Sonic Youth »

W!ZARD (Fr) - Post-punk noise - L’énergie brute du combo bordelais W!ZARD fait vibrer les scènes depuis 2018. Le trio se balade entre le post-punk mainstream d’Idles, Shame, Fontaines DC et les trajectoires de Ditz, Gillaband, Crows ou Deadletter. « Nous sommes également influencés par des groupes comme Crackcloud, Protomartyr, Model/Actriz, Viagra Boys, Show me the Body », autant d’artistes aux identités marquées, sans barrière de style. A découvrir sur scène !

MARCEL (B) - Rock indé - Depuis 2021, les belges du groupe marcel s'amusent à brouiller les pistes et expérimentent un punk chaotique. Leur musique, à la fois brute et généreuse, évoque un improbable croisement entre Dead Kennedys et Talk Talk, Nina Hagen et Jacques Dutronc, portée par des textes poético-horrifiques explorant l'étrangeté de l'existence. Leur nouvel album, produit par Ben Hampson (DITZ, Lambrini Girls...), est à paraître en mars 2025 chez Luik Records et Géographie Records.

En décembre 2017 Johnny nous quitte, en laissant derrière lui des millions de fans orphelins de leur idole.
Un seul homme peut revendiquer la légitimité et le talent pour rallumer le feu sur scène et remettre le nom «Hallyday» dans le cœur de millions de fans.
Artiste unique au talent immense, multi-récompensé et estimé de tous, il a composé «Sang Pour Sang», l’album le plus vendu de son père qui scellera leur réconciliation. Cet artiste, cet homme, ce fils, c’est : David Hallyday !
 


Requiem Pour Un Fou : L'Evénement de l'Année

Industrial metal met catchy meezingers, ondersteund door stevig gitaargeweld, klokvaste drums en dansbare elektronica

Was ist da los? Es ist Eisbrecher! Nadat ze het ijs al enkele keren gebroken hebben op de Graspop Metal Meeting, keren de Duitsers in 2025 terug naar Trix voor nog meer ijskoude industrial metal. Verwacht opnieuw een feest vol catchy meezingers, ondersteund door stevig gitaargeweld, klokvaste drums en dansbare elektronica. Wie stil blijft staan, is gezien!
HELDMASCHINE
Ooit een afsplitsing de indrukwekkende Duitse Rammstein coverband Völkerball. Maar intussen is Heldmaschine uitgegroeid tot een volwaardige industrial metalband met een geheel eigen repertoire. We moeten je waarschijnlijk niet vertellen waar ze de mosterd gehaald hebben.

Op zaterdag 22.03 speelt Fluisteraars, een van de meest toonaangevende black-metal bands van Nederland, hun enige show van 2025 bij ons in De Vooruit. Hun unieke geluid combineert donkere ambient soundscapes met verschroeiende en bijna psychedelische tsunamis van gitaren.

Maar er is meer want Fluisteraars nodigden de gelijkgestemde zielen van ISKANDR en Alkerdeel uit om de avond in De Vooruit compleet te maken.

De avond openen we met de psychedelische doomfolk van ISKANDR. Donkere Middeleeuwse melancholie uit de catacomben van Nijmegen.
Afsluiten doen we met een band die - voor liefhebbers van extreem vuile metal - geen introductie zou behoeven. In 2025 viert het gerenommeerde Alkerdeel zijn 20e verjaardag (hiep hiep!) met exact één show op deze Vlaamse akkers en wel deze!

Voor de allereerste keer ooit gaan Biohazard en Life of Agony samen op grote internationale tournee. Deze twee metallegendes uit Brooklyn, NY, trekken samen door Europa in 2025 en doen 24 steden aan, waaronder Brussel! Op zaterdag 8 maart te gast, Biohazard en Life of Agony naar La Madeleine.

Life of Agony brak begin '90 door in de New Yorkse muziekscene met een van de meest kenmerkende geluiden van het genre. De voorbije drie decennia deelde Life of Agony het podium met de grootste namen uit de rockwereld, verkochten ze meer dan een miljoen albums en verwierven ze een cultstatus. Recent vierde Life of Agony het dertigjarig jubileum van hun debuutalbum 'River Runs Red' met een succesvolle wereldtournee en de release van een gloednieuwe nummer "The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)".

"This has been a long time coming," says Life of Agony guitarist Joey Zampella. "Two of Brooklyn's giants teaming up for what will be a tour that is talked about for years – and with the original Biohazard line-up back, it will be something you won't want to miss! Both bands are at the top of their game, and we're ready to completely devour the U.K. and Europe!"

Dertien jaar na hun laatste album werkte Biohazard aan een nieuwe plaat, met de geplande release in 2025. Hun terugkeer naar de studio vormt het hoogtepunt van achttien drukke maanden voor deze baanbrekende metal/hardcoreband, met onder andere een comeback op het podium in 2023, een tour door Noord-Amerika met Megadeth en festivaloptredens voor miljoenen fans. Hun unieke mix van hardcore punk, heavy metal en hiphop-elementen heeft hen een trouwe schare fans en lovende kritieken opgeleverd.

"We grew up with Life of Agony and were like their big brothers," says Biohazard guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei.
