V2 records news – Seefeel - Return with first full length album in 15 years, "Sol.Hz"

Released worldwide by Warp Records on 1 May 2026
Wednesday 29 April @ Ancienne Belgique, Brussels
First single 'Ever No Way' out now
Seefeel - Ever No Way (Official Video)
Infamously the first artist signed to Warp that used guitars, Seefeel return with their first full-length album in fifteen years – Sol.Hz - a beautiful, hazy and blissed out collection of fractured melodies and vaporous textures.

In some ways, this can be regarded as Seefeel's 'dub' album – the deceptively cloud-like arrangements of Mark Clifford are somewhat ambient adjacent at low volume, but blasting out of a proper sound system, the cavernous bass undertow and skilful employment of effects are more apparent, messing with the listener's perception of time and audio placement. As always with Seefeel though, it never drifts too far into cold experimentalism or synthetic texture, the heavily manipulated vocals of Sarah Peacock lending the tracks a vital human element, with processed guitar loops allowing slivers of melody to drift through the trails of delay.

Stylistically, it builds on their 2024 mini-albumSquared Roots, in the way that the material has been microscopically dissected and reversioned until it reaches the perfect iteration, shape perhaps being the wrong word for a group who blur the lines between solidity and space to such a radical degree. The much-reappropriated line from The Communist Manifesto, "all that is solid melts into air", could be used as shorthand to describe the experience of listening to a Seefeel record. The album title Sol.Hz can be translated literally as sun plus electricity, although the exact interpretation is ambiguous and left open to debate, just like Marx's oft-quoted line.

Seefeel's first full-length album in fifteen years, Sol.Hz, is available on limited edition clear vinyl, black vinyl and CD, as well as across all streaming platforms. The Bleep exclusive bundle edition includes a risograph print and a mix CD, Rapture To Rupt: an immersive, hour-long journey through Seefeel tracks from 1994 - 1996, put together by Kenyan sound artist KMRU, previously available as a limited edition cassette which has long since sold out.

About Seefeel
Seefeel signed to Warp in 1994 after releasing a well-received debut album on Too Pure, Quique. They were originally bracketed in the music press as part of the shoegaze scene, viewed as an extension of the approach taken by bands such as My Bloody Valentine. However the band's incorporation of dance and dub music influences, and overt use of samplers, led to them also being linked to the emerging 'electronic home listening' sound, codified by the Warp label on their Artificial Intelligence compilation. This was reinforced when Aphex Twin (a big Seefeel fan) did two different remixes of "Time To Find Me" for free, on the agreement that they would make a record for his Rephlex label, a promise they eventually fulfilled with (Ch-Vox). They were also closely associated with Cocteau Twins, who also championed the band, inviting Seefeel to record in their September Sound studio and taking them on tour as an opening act. The relationship was cemented further when Mark Clifford remixed four of their tracks for the Otherness EP, and toured with the band, performing a live remix segment as part of the Milk & Kissestour.

The second Seefeel album, Succour, came out on Warp in March 1995 and moved away from the melodic and guitar-led elements of their first album, exploring more rhythmic and quasi-industrial textures, trailed by two EPs from the previous year, Starethrough and Fracture/Tied, and appearing on the Artificial Intelligence II album, alongside more techno-affiliated artists such as B12 and The Higher Intelligence Agency. Warp co-founder Steve Beckett commented in an interview: "Seefeel were the first band that Warp signed who had guitars...they were brave to sign to us because they became the 'older siblings' in the family and took all the flak by breaking the unwritten rules of an (up until then) purely dance label".

The 6-track (Ch-Vox) mini-album followed in 1996 on Rephlex, and showcased an even more desiccated and minimal direction, mostly made by Mark Clifford on his own, and presaging the solo electronic records he would make for Warp under the names Woodenspoon and Disjecta. Seefeel went on hiatus in 1997, focusing on the individual members' own projects. They returned with another self-titled album for Warp in 2011, after an impressive live performance at the Warp20 celebrations (with a new line-up featuring DJ Scotch Egg and ex-Boredoms drummer Kazuhisa Iida).

In 2021, Warp anthologised their 1994 to 1996 material in the Rupt & Flex boxset, complete with unreleased tracks and a rare Autechre remix, also releasing the long-form mixtape Rapture To Rupt, featuring the material from the boxset arranged into a seamless mix by producer KMRU. In 2024, they made a tentative return to putting out new music with a pair of critically acclaimed mini-albums on Warp – Everything Squared and Squared Roots. In 2025, Beggars Arkive reissued both their debut album, Quique, in an expanded edition, and a compilation of their early EPs, Pure/Impure.

The band continue to play live, though the exact line-up of the group that appears on stage is as amorphous as their music, most commonly varying between a trio of Mark Clifford, Sarah Peacock and Daren Seymour; and Mark Clifford performing solo Seefeel A/V dub sets. Recent live highlights include an appearance at A Warp Happening at The Barbican in London, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, and the Extreme Chill Festival in Reykjavík. This mutating live formation of the band continues to evolve in 2026: the forthcoming European dates will be undertaken by a duo of Mark Clifford on guitar and electronics, and Daren Seymour on bass and live visual triggering. Future dates featuring the vocals and guitar of Sarah Peacock are planned, and Clifford has even spoken of bringing a live drummer back into the fold for select shows.

The longtime perception of the band as sitting at the overlap point between electronic music and experimental guitar music meant that they were often overlooked during their original lifespan, not making music that was instantly recognisable to either scene. Over the years though, this blurring of genre lines increasingly looks prescient of where music was headed, steadily building a catalogue of music that hasn't aged in quite the same way as some of their contemporaries. Their influence has been cited by a new generation of artists such as Maria Somerville and Yu Su, and they return in 2026 with Sol.Hz, a collection of new tracks that further reinforce the idea that Seefeel's time has finally come.

Gala Dragot - Vocal performance tijdens de Dries Van Noten-show in Parijs

OVER GALA DRAGOT

V2 records news – Hard-Fi - Announces New Album, "Sweating Someone Else's Fever"

HARD-FI Announces New Album
"Sweating Someone Else's Fever"
ALBUM OUT 19 JUNE

LISTEN HERE TO FIRST SINGLE "THEY AIN'T YOUR FRIENDS"
They Ain't Your Friends - Single by Hard-Fi | Spotify
Recharged and looking sharply at a world gone sideways, Staines' finest Hard-Fi make their long-awaited return with brand new studio album Sweating Someone Else's Fever, their first in 15 years, out on June 19th via V2 Records.

Written and recorded throughout 2025 in their synonymous ex-taxi-office-turned studio Cherry Lips, and produced by frontman Richard Archer alongside longtime collaborator Wolsey White, the album looks outside the window to the fractured present, and paints it in bold musical strokes, with the same sharp-eyed social commentary that powered their classic debut Stars of CCTV, but with fresh perspective, new sounds and hard-earned freedom.

Named after an El Salvador saying about not fighting other people's ego-based battles, Sweating Someone Else's Fever represents Hard-Fi unburdened: playing together again, free from pressure, making music for the joy of it.

First single 'They Ain't Your Friends' arrives with suspicious swagger, directing its fire at the fake allegiances of the online world and the hypocrisies of the modern music industry. "At the beginning you could get out there and it was a meritocracy, whereas now it's basically back to patronage where you have to suck up to the guy who'll give you some money to write a waltz for his ball,"Archer explains. The track's birth, however, has a far sweeter story. An amalgamation of two old demos, Archer had left the music on his laptop until his tech-savvy 10-year-old son appeared one day, having found them and stitched them together. "They were in different tempos so a lot sounded like chaos, but every now and then it would be really cool. We did it all properly and suddenly it sounded really fresh. Now he's going, 'So where's my cut?!'" the frontman laughs.

Elsewhere on the record, guitars snarl on 'Looking For Fun', and 'You Rule My Heart', the latter being one of the most emotive songs Hard-Fi have ever written. 'Digo Nada' (Spanish for 'I Say Nothing') finds Archer bringing in his love of Cumbia music, recruiting UK-based Colombian rapper Mike Kalle for a Gorillaz-nodding moment of unexpected excitement. "My wife's from Central America and I got into Cumbia music because of Joe Strummer, then going out to El Salvador with her and hearing more tunes and getting into stuff like Andres Landero and Manu Chao - I liked it and it felt quite punk rock," he explains.

Olivier Award-nominated singer Krysten Cummings  and long time collaborator lends guest vocals to 'You Rule My Heart' and 'A Rose Electric', adding a new dimension to Hard-Fi's sound. "It gave the tracks a different flavour that wasn't just lads and guitars,"Archer jokes. Social ire still simmers throughout. 'Don't Go Making Plans' and 'Ain't Going Out Tonight' capture a nightlife scene in retreat, while 'Humpback Whale' turns its gaze on technology and power: "AI could save lives, but unless the benefits are shared, it's going to be a nightmare," Archer warns

The album follows the band's reunion sparked during lockdown, when Archer livestreamed Stars of CCTV and was stunned by the warmth of the response. A comeback show at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town sold out in minutes, reminding the quartet why they started. From there came 2024's Don't Go Making Plans EP, and then, naturally, new music.

And with that, the band have also announced three huge headline dates in December - London, O2 Academy Brixton, O2 Institute Birmingham & O2 Ritz Manchester, seeing them back where they belong, on the country's biggest indoor stages

Live Nation concert - Kids With Buns

Live Nation concert - Kids With Buns

Tickets zijn beschikbaar via livenation.be en abconcerts.be.

V2 records news - Bonnie "Prince" Billy Shares New Song, "Life is Scary Horses"

New album, We Are Together Again, March 6th

Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Life is Scary Horses (Official Video)

Bonnie "Prince" Billy – the persona/stage-name of musician Will Oldham - will release his new studio recordWe Are Together Again this Friday March 6th and today shares the final pre-release single from the album: "Life is Scary Horses."

The song – which Oldham describes as a "spiritual cover" of the Sally Timms / Jon Langford composition "Horses" - comes accompanied by a video directed by filmmaker Braden King. Timms sings on the track and appears in the video.

Oldham says: "A primary reason to cover a song comes from the unanswered questions the song poses in our individual or collective psyches, and I have mulled "Horses"-generated questions over and over and over again in all sorts of circumstances until finally I thought I could bring those questions to life in a new composition, a new recording, of what can technically and essentially be called a new song."

King directed the video for Oldham's 2004 cover of "Horses" (from the album Greatest Palace Music) and the two have known each other even longer. Of the new work, King says: "This piece carries long memory. Will and I have been moving in and out of each other's orbits for over half my life - his friendship, collaboration and music - along with Sally Timms' own – are woven into me. Somehow, making this felt less like creating something new than uncovering something that had been waiting a long time to surface. It's a message assembled from fragments; landscapes and symbols gathered from a world that's slipping away and what remains when certainty is gone. As it evolved, the piece itself began to feel like a relic: an elegy left behind for a future that might not remember us – or maybe one that might be trying to learn who we were."

Oldham adds: "I have worked with Braden for a few decades now, our slow burns aligning just enough to remain aware that King is one of many life-saving flotation devices in human form that I am privileged to collaborate with."
In addition to Timms backing vocals, the track also features strings arranged by Oldham's cousin Ryder McNair and whistling by Thomas Deakin.
We Are Together Again - recorded at End of an Ear Studios in Louisville, Kentucky – is very much a collaborative album. Oldham says "As the first few songs from this record have trickled out (strategically), I'm struck by an overwhelming sense of gratitude towards many people and many circumstances. The people that built this beast with me, musically, are the finest to live among."

V2 records news – The Veils - Announce New Album "Fragile World"

THE VEILS Announce New Album "Fragile World"
ALBUM OUT 19 JUNE
Single "Lungs" out now
Lungs - Single by The Veils | Spotify
11 November live @ Trix, Antwerp

Arriving just over a year after their last release, 'Fragile World' marks a striking shift in tone and energy for the band. Recorded live to tape in New Zealand by Paddy Hill, with production by Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, The Chills, Folk Bitch Trio), 'Fragile World', captures The Veils in an urgent and instinctive mode.

As can be heard on the first single 'Lungs'' of which frontman Finn Andrews says: "I make each album, generally, as a kind of atonement for the last. Asphodels was so quiet and introspective, I think I just wanted to make something strident and full of life for a goddamn change. I wrote the lyric for this years ago, while I still lived in London and I still smoked fags."

The album's title is both a reflection of the present moment - a time in which many institutions appear to be crumbling before our eyes - and a metaphor for the act of creation itself. The process of making music, Andrews notes, is a delicate and fragile undertaking where thousands of small decisions gradually coalesce into a finished whole.

"We went into the studio with a lot of songs, but very little idea of the arrangements or instrumentation. It was truly exciting having no idea what this record would sound like and only a few weeks to figure it out. It's mostly Tom and I playing everything, with Joseph McCallum coming in at times. It was all very instinctual, quite full-on, and scary at times - but a good kind of scary, not scary like the real world out there."

With its immediacy, intensity, and emotional clarity, 'Fragile World' stands as one of The Veils' most compelling releases to date.

Since being signed to Rough Trade Records when lead singer Finn Andrews was just 16 years old, The Veils have now released eight studio albums: The Runaway Found (2004), Nux Vomica (2006), Sun Gangs (2009), Time Stays, We Go (2013), Total Depravity (2016), ...And Out Of The Void Came Love (2023), Asphodels (2025) and Fragile World (2026).

The Veils have toured consistently throughout their over twenty-year history and garnered a formidable reputation as one of the world's great live bands. As well as a fruitful collaboration with Run the Jewels' El-Pfor their 2016 album Total Depravity, they have also been praised by film directors Paolo Sorrentino, Tim Burton and David Lynch, who have all used their music on their soundtracks.

The Veils made their glorious return to the stage in 2023/24 with sold out shows across Europe, North America & Australasia through 2023-2025. The band will begin touring significantly again in support of Fragile World through 2026.

Even voorstellen - Odysseas ß - Nieuwe Single & Video – Elephant

Release Datum 27 februari 2026 - Rock Rap Punk

Odysseas
