Even voorstellen - La Fazani - new double EP project 'Ekstrovert and Introvert'

La Fazani announces two upcoming EPs, Ekstrovert and Introvert, arriving in June and November 2026. Originally imagined as one full-length album, the project slowly separated itself into two connected but opposite worlds.

La Fazani is the musical project of Arbër Salihu, a composer, producer and performer from Prishtina, Kosovo, known for blending Balkan musical traditions with hip hop, indie, electronic and alternative influences. Over the past years he has become one of the more distinctive voices in Kosovo's contemporary scene, moving between underground culture and mainstream recognition, including winning the first edition of Kosovo's national song festival in 2023 with the song "Oj Kosovë".

Built around the idea that identity is never just one thing, the project embraces contradiction instead of avoiding it. Introvert/extrovert. Freedom/commitment. Alternative/mainstream. Analog live music/electronic digital music. Old styles/new styles. Summer/winter. Mountain/sea. Rather than choosing one side, La Fazani treats these opposites as forces that constantly exist together.

The visual identity reflects this directly: two minimalist covers inspired by yin and yang symbolism, where each side quietly contains something from the opposite spectrum.

Recorded between Prishtina and Tallinn following La Fazani's Tallinn Music Week recognition and residency at Selektor Studio in Telliskivi, the music moves through a surprisingly wide sonic palette. Reggaeton rhythms, afrobeat grooves, pop structures, drum'n'bass energy, indie textures and hip hop influences all appear throughout the project. Underneath the accessible surface sits highly detailed songwriting, unusual harmonic movement, unexpected structures, and the sensibility of a formally trained composer.

All lyrics are in Albanian, often blending Gheg and Tosk dialects in unusual ways, with Gheg remaining dominant. Many songs revolve around love, desire, ego, performance and self-image, while also offering a subtle critique of a hyper-materialistic reality where human worth is increasingly measured through clicks, likes, money and visibility.

The characters inside the songs often embody these modern value systems - superficial ambition, performative confidence, emotional confusion - while the music responds with irony, tenderness, absurdity or confrontation.

One of the key tracks from Ekstrovert, "Kena Tirshe," features MC Kresha and directly addresses collective social disorientation. The title itself flips the Albanian word "rreshqitje" ("slipping"), turning language into a metaphor for a society gradually losing balance.
While Ekstrovert leans toward warmer, playful, rhythmic and more immediate energy, Introvert moves deeper into obscure and experimental territory. Its full tracklist and featured collaborators will be revealed later.
At first listen, the project can feel light, humorous, danceable and direct. But underneath sits a layered body of work from an artist shaped equally by composition studies, underground culture, Balkan musical traditions, performance art and contemporary global production.
As La Fazani continues to blur the line between accessible and experimental, Ekstrovert / Introvert becomes less of a binary and more of a portrait of modern contradiction itself.

Dopplereffekt (États-Unis), duo mythique de Detroit pour un live belge exclusif! Une occasion rare de voir ces pionniers de l'électro industrielle. Aya (Royaume-Uni) fusionne la culture soundsystem avec le post-hardcore pour créer des sculptures sonores puissantes. Saluée par Pitchfork et The Guardian, en live au Micro le vendredi 7 août.
Le duo franco-lettonien Domenique Dumont se posera un instant à Liège pour nous ouvrir leur eden spirituel aux doux accents synth pop. Au programme aussi, le post-punk explosif de Deadletter (Royaume-Uni), un concert post-techno européen exclusif d'Atom™ (Allemagne), et l'atypique et fascinant quatuor de percussions Sartorius Drum Ensemble (Suisse).
Côté belge, Seasisk se reforme au Micro après après 15 ans de break, on retrouvera sur scène le nouveau projet du batteur de la Jungle Termal Reason, le pop rock 60s romantique de Coup Dur, Use Knife et ses paysages sonores électroniques hypnotiques, Koala Disco pour une dose indispensable de post-punk, Peter Van Hoesen et un set techno visionnaire, Youniss pour une performance interpellante.

After the successful comeback of "Young Hearts", Belgian indie pop singer Isaac Roux returns with another new single "Missing Out", out today.  "Am I Missing Out" captures the restless intensity of youth navigating confusion, desire, and self-discovery. The lyrics paint vivid, almost surreal imagery; "higher than hills," "burst through the ceiling underneath the train rails"—immersing listeners in a world of emotional highs, longing, and uncertainty. At its core, the song explores the tension between loneliness and connection, asking the universal question: Am I missing out? Lines like "tumbling around my bloodstream like a chemical spill" and "burning like a lemon haze" evoke both vulnerability and exhilaration, creating a hypnotic, dreamlike atmosphere. With its raw honesty and emotive energy, this track is a compelling anthem for anyone searching for meaning, love, and authenticity in a chaotic world.

For recording, the band retreated to a cottage at the foot of Mont Ventoux, where they set up a fully DIY recording process under the name "Studio La Pichounette". This approach resulted in a raw, more direct sound with a distinct sense of band chemistry.    Following the recordings, they collaborated with the American producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Kurt Vile, Bloc Party, Death Cab for Cutie) on the final mix. Together with producer Bert Vliegen, Louis De Roo travelled to Bridgeport to put the finishing touches to the tracks in a studio rich in history. "Young Hearts" and "Missing Out"  are two beautiful examples of the more versatile and energetic sound in which Isaac Roux reveals a different side of itself.

For those who are not yet familiar with Isaac Roux's work; Isaac Roux writes songs about the fragile moment when youth gives way to something that resembles adulthood. His music is threaded with nostalgia for adolescence, tempered by the realisation that growing up rarely comes gently.  Following sets at Pukkelpop, Rock Werchter, Eurosonic, and the release of his debut album Troubled Waters (2024), Roux has begun to embrace the rough edges. His sound is looser, faster, and more lo-fi: propulsive electric guitars, playful yet daring arrangements, and rhythms that keep pushing forward. There are echoes of Beach Fossils and Day Wave, the melancholic undertones of The Cure, and the hazy, psychedelic textures of Tame Impala — all filtered through his own unpolished lens.

De nieuwe single ‘Through The Beam’ biedt een intrigerend inkijkje in het zich verder ontwikkelende sonische landschap van de band, waarin rock samenkomt met ondertonen van funk en alternatieve pop. Staccato ritmes en met fuzz doordrenkte leadgitaren, pulserende synthbas en strakke, krachtige drums geven het nummer een gevoel van constante beweging, terwijl Rubens vocals er als een waas van melancholie en melodie doorheen prikken.

Start to Sing 2026, Zingen voor iedereen met een hart voor dementie, van 19-27 september 2026

Na een indrukwekkende tweede editie is Start to Sing dit jaar terug van 19 tot 27 september met een week vol zangworkshops, open repetities, proeflessen en meer in Vlaanderen en Brussel. Koepelorganisatie Koor&Stem zet dit jaar het belang van zingen in de verf met een bijzonder maatschappelijk thema: samenzang als brug voor mensen met dementie. Het officiële startschot wordt gegeven op 19 september in Gent, met een koorwandeling door de stad en een feestelijk singalong met special guest Ronny Mosuse. Voor het eerst breidt Start to Sing ook internationaal uit met een zustereditie in Nederland.

OVER KOOR&STEM
Koor&Stem is het aanspreekpunt voor koren en vocale muziek. Dirigenten, zangers en bestuursleden van amateurkoren kunnen bij de organisatie terecht voor advies, vorming en podiumkansen. Ze verenigt meer dan 1000 koren in heel Vlaanderen. Met projecten en initiatieven als Start to Sing, Koorklank, Doewap, De Stem van ons Geheugen, Singing Brussels en de organisatie van de World Choir Games 2021 ondersteunt en promoot Koor&Stem het samen zingen. Dutch-Surinamese singer-songwriter néomí has built a reputation for crafting intimate, atmospheric songs that balance cinematic folk textures with understated pop sensibilities. Drawing comparisons to artists such as Laura Marling, Julia Jacklin, Phoebe Bridgers and Daughter, her music finds beauty in vulnerability, with lyrics that favour emotional honesty over grand gestures.

On June 19, néomí releases her new single "Close", the next chapter leading up to her forthcoming EP “crunchy sad strangely happy”, due out on September 18 via Nettwerk.

The song maps the pull of unhealthy attachment, wanting to leave, unable to let go. néomí frames it through avoidant and anxious attachment styles: two people who function like a drug for each other, staying because the alternative feels unthinkable. Key lyric: "It's too good to let you go / So I'll just have to keep you close." Emotionally, it's the darkest relationship track on the EP, sitting third in a five-song arc that moves from cynicism to grace. "Close" is the designated commercial priority single of the cycle.

“Close is a song that is actually very much about an unhealthy form of love,” explains néomí. “The push-and-pull relationship where you don’t want to be together but also don’t want to let go. It is about desperately holding on, going back and forth with each other’s emotions. Think avoidant and anxious attachment styles, bound to be together. Love can feel like a drug when it is felt like that, as if you can’t live without each other. I’d advise you to let go instead of holding on, but love is a powerful thing, and the heart wants what it wants, I suppose. Luckily, we have songwriting to cope with that.”

The release arrives ahead of a busy period for the Dutch artist. This summer, she will join Tamino as support on Slot Zeist Live in the Netherlands, while recent festival announcements include a performance at Reeperbahn Festival 2026. “I hope when you read that title you find it utterly strange because, I believe it is and it should be,” she says. “To me working on this body of work has been an absolute disaster and treat at the same time. I’ve met so many wonderful and amazing people along the way. Maybe I even experienced the most beautiful moments of my life while actually feeling the worst.”
Describing the project as a reflection on growth through discomfort, néomí explains that the EP embraces emotional duality rather than trying to resolve it. “Beauty exists in the weird, crunchy moments,” she says. “And to be strangely happy, you’ll unfortunately have to be sad too.”
Written while navigating relentless touring and transatlantic writing trips, the EP captures a period of exhaustion, vulnerability and emotional honesty, while still leaving room for humour, spontaneity and joy. “KLAAS”, dat is Klaas Delrue, de zanger en frontman van Yevgueni.
Onder niets meer of minder dan zijn voornaam bracht hij in maart 2026 het soloalbum 'Tijd voor mij' uit. In najaar 2026 duikt KLAAS de theaters in met zijn 'klein plaatje' waarop hij uitdrukkelijk de singer-songwriter in zichzelf op de voorgrond wil zetten.
