Met bijna vijf miljoen verkochte tickets wereldwijd en lovende kritieken, zet The Australian Pink Floyd Show zijn mars enthousiast verder! De band brengt zijn '2027 Greatest Hits World Tour' op dinsdag 23 februari 2027 naar de Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen. De legendarische tributeband brengt hiermee een groots eerbetoon aan het iconische Pink Floyd-album 'Animals' uit 1977 én trakteert fans op de zeldzame live-uitvoering van het meesterwerk "Echoes". Wat in 1988 begon in Adelaide, Australië, is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot de meest populaire Pink Floyd-tribute ter wereld. De Australiërs brengen het legendarische werk van de Britse band tot leven met een indrukwekkende precisie en ongeëvenaarde aandacht voor detail. Gesteund door een spectaculaire licht- en lasershow, indrukwekkende video-animaties, een opblaasbaar varken en een heleboel speciale effecten, weet The Australian Pink Floyd Show keer op keer te verbazen. Omringd door muzikanten en technici die nog met Pink Floyd zelf hebben getourd, blijft de band de grenzen van het tribute-genre verleggen. De status van The Australian Pink Floyd Show is dan ook ongeëvenaard. Wasia Project is "Coming Through"! De Britse altpopband neemt haar langverwachte debuutalbum 'Nocturne' mee op tour en een stop in België kan daarbij niet ontbreken. Olivia Hardy en William Gao zetten coming-of-age angst om in dansbare, rauwe poptunes die je live kan ontdekken op zondag 22 november 2026 in La Madeleine in Brussel. Wasia Project bestaat uit zus Olivia Hardy en broer William Gao. Met de single "Why Don't U Love Me" maakten het duo zijn debuut in 2019, maar op de eerste EP 'How Can I Pretend?' was het nog even wachten tot 2022. De bal ging echt aan het rollen met hits "Petals On The Moon" en "Ur So Pretty". Dat tweede nummer was deel van de soundtrack voor de populaire Netflix-reeks 'Heartstopper'. Sinds die grote doorbraak is hun trouwe fanbase alleen maar blijven groeien. Hoewel ze bekendstaan als indiepopduo, nemen ze met 'Nocturne' definitief afstand van die titel. Het gloednieuwe album verschijnt op 18 september en blendt de klassieke achtergrond van Olivia (viool) en William (piano) met dance, pop, moderne soul en elektronische muziek. Die eclectische mix zorgt voor een sound die donkerder, rauwer en emotioneler is dan hun vroege werk. Het album vangt de coming-of-age worstelingen van een generatie jongvolwassenen en weerspiegelt de verloren coronajaren van een jeugd die constant online leeft. Ook de Chinese achtergrond van het duo zit subtiel verwoven in de muziek. Die gelaagdheid maakt van 'Nocturne' een melancholische, maar hoopvolle soundtrack voor een hele generatie. Walk off the Earth ging in 2012 viraal met hun inmiddels legendarische gitaarcover van Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know". De videoclip, waarin de muzikanten met z'n vijven tegelijkertijd op één gitaar spelen, zorgde meteen voor hun internationale doorbraak. Bonobo aka Simon Green returns with 'Distance In Static', his new album out September 11th on Ninja Tune. The record is announced today alongside new single "Me and You", a club-driven track that has been road-tested to great effect in his recent DJ sets including two road-block pop-ups in London and Paris, with fans clamouring for an ID. Alongside this he also reveals a brand new Bonobo Live show – designed by Pierre Claude, renowned for his work with Air, Gesaffelstein, Phoenix, and Caroline Polachek – kicking off this November with a headline run across North America.

Across 'Distance In Static', Green collaborates with a typically striking cast of artists including Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis (Hundred Waters) and Aanya Martin. Lyrics appear in English, Urdu and Japanese, while historic Iranian samples and guzheng recordings sit alongside Green's own meticulously processed instrumentation, woven together across recording sessions spanning LA, Tokyo, London and beyond – with a significant portion of the record completed at Neil Young's legendary Broken Arrow Ranch in California, where he holed up for several weeks earlier this year.

It's a record that represents the culmination of over 25 years as a recording artist, and one of the leading voices in electronic music. It's a career that has seen him release two Top-10 Albums (2017's 'Migration' and 2022's 'Fragments', which both landed at #5 on the UK chart), plus numerous Gold and Silver certified singles, sell over 900,000 records, rack up billions of streams, collaborate with the likes of Erykah Badu and Damon Albarn, and be both BRIT and GRAMMY-nominated – the latter seven times, with five in the dance/electronic categories, a record number of nominations shared with The Chemical Brothers, Skrillex and Madonna.

His pioneering live show – built around a full live-band, guest vocalists and immersive visuals – has also set the blueprint for how and where an electronic musician can translate their records into the live arena. He has performed to millions of people across the globe, with sold-out shows at prestigious venues like the Sydney Opera House, Alexandra Palace and Red Rocks Amphitheatre – in many cases as one of the first electronic artists to do so – and the world's biggest festival stages including Glastonbury, Coachella, Sonar and Fuji Rock. His last tour also included both a co-headline of London's Field Day (alongside Aphex Twin), and a historic sold-out 5-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall, which was the longest consecutive run there by a solo artist, and the longest ever by an electronic musician.

Alongside this, Green's OUTLIER events and DJ sets have continued to place him at the centre of contemporary dance music culture, connecting with generations of club-going audiences in warehouses, festivals and underground venues alike. He has curated lineups in recent years that featured the likes of Barry Can't Swim, Sofia Kourtesis, salute, Kelly Lee Owens, Mall Grab, DJ Tennis, SG Lewis, Carlita, Elkka, HAAi, John Talabot, Paula Tape and many more, with his 15,000-capacity OUTLIER showcase at Drumsheds in London becoming the fastest-selling event of the season, and a sold-out "homecoming" OUTLIER show at the 10,000 capacity On The Beach (Brighton) proving a highlight of the summer.

"I want to reinforce this idea that you can be more than one thing," Green explains. It's that duality – of live artist and DJ, introspective composer and club-focussed selector – that sits at the heart of 'Distance in Static', a record that is full of depth, detail and emotion; both beautiful and banging; quintessentially Bonobo, yet pushing beyond the contours of what a Bonobo album has traditionally been.

The title of the record – 'Distance in Static' – is perhaps also an appropriate indicator for where Green finds himself now, evoking images of fuzzy transmissions and transient frequencies; fragments of memory and meaning echoing back through more than two decades at the forefront of electronic music. He sees the traces of his own work reflected in a younger generation rediscovering 90s trip-hop, downtempo and leftfield electronic music through a contemporary lens. "I think the front end of what I've done has now become something that's referential to younger people," he says. "I liked the idea of listening for a distant signal — trying to find something in the noise," he continues, and there's a sense throughout the record of searching for transcendence: music suspended somewhere between intimacy and scale, the familiar and the unknown.

The album's visual world, created alongside celebrated designer Trevor Jackson, reflects this shift too. Moving away from the landscape-inspired aesthetics of earlier Bonobo records, 'Distance in Static' instead draws on microscopic photography by renowned photomicrographer John I. Koivula, creating crystalline alien worlds that feel simultaneously natural and otherworldly. Those themes will also run through the brand new live show, designed in collaboration with Pierre Claude – renowned for his work with Air, Gesaffelstein, Phoenix, and Caroline Polachek – to deliver another evolution in the Bonobo live experience.

Buried within the 'Distance in Static' universe, there is also a sense that this record – and particularly the accompanying live tour – marks something quite monumental, too. It's a moment of transition, a celebration of Bonobo's 25 years, but also, perhaps his last record in the traditional sense: complete with expansive guest features and a multi-year full live-band world tour. "It's probably the last go-around the track in this format," he admits. And on the future? "I don't know what that will look like just yet, but It's really about me redefining how to be a musician from here."

Whatever comes next, one thing is for sure: 'Distance in Static' is arguably Green's finest record to date; as ambitious and forward thinking as ever, and a reminder, if ever one was needed, of why Bonobo has remained such an influence on so many, for so long.

Sommige bands maken muziek die je hoort, anderen maken muziek die je voelt. Kingfishr hoort zonder twijfel bij die laatste categorie. Dat bewijst de band ook in ons land: hun concert op woensdag 2 december was op korte tijd uitverkocht. Daarom voegt de Ierse indiefolkband een extra show toe op dinsdag 1 december in De Roma in Antwerpen. De drie muzikanten veroveren in sneltempo steeds meer harten en zetten hun sterke opmars verder met een passage op de Main Stage van Rock Werchter deze zomer, nadat ze vorig jaar al de Marquee op Pukkelpop en La Madeleine volledig inpakten. Kingfishr is een driekoppige band uit Ierland, ontstaan uit een vriendschap tussen drie studenten aan de Universiteit van Limerick. Hun naam verwijst naar de ijsvogel (kingfisher), die net als hun muziek kleurrijk en levendig is. De band combineert folk, rock, elektronica en elementen van spoken word tot een meeslepende en emotioneel geladen sound. Hun debuutalbum 'Halcyon' verscheen vorig jaar en schoot meteen naar de eerste plaats van de Ierse albumcharts, terwijl ook ver daarbuiten hun populariteit blijft groeien. Met meer dan 400 miljoen streams wereldwijd, ruim 2 miljoen maandelijkse Spotify-luisteraars en een steeds groter wordende fancommunity is Kingfishr uitgegroeid tot een van de meest opvallende nieuwe namen uit Ierland. Ook hun doorbraaksingle "Killeagh" groeide uit tot een echte publieksfavoriet en werd in Ierland al een anthem op zich.

Na de release van "The Blade" eerder dit jaar verscheen eind vorige maand met "The Sun Will Never Settle" alweer een vers nummer, een volgende stap in de verdere groei van Kingfishr. Voor hun passages in Antwerpen lijkt de locatie bovendien haast gemaakt voor hun muziek: de warme sfeer en karaktervolle uitstraling van De Roma sluiten perfect aan bij de rijke, emotionele klankwereld van de band. Hun songs zullen er nog meer tot leven komen en van deze concertavonden een bijzondere ontmoeting maken tussen muziek en decor.

"America", "In The Morning", "Before I Fall To Pieces" - stuk voor stuk songs die meteen bleven hangen toen ze uitkwamen. Ze staan allemaal op het album 'Razorlight' van de gelijknamige band, die dit jaar zijn 20ste verjaardag viert. Om dat jubileum op gepaste wijze te vieren trekt de Britse indie rockband de wereld rond, met een stop in België op zondag 1 november 2026 in La Madeleine in Brussel.

Razorlight stond begin jaren 2000 mee aan de frontlinie van de indie rock-revival, met een energieke sound vol post-punkinvloeden. Na het succes van hun debuutalbum 'Up All Night' (2004), goed voor een derde plaats in de UK charts, brak de band echt door met 'Razorlight' (2006) en de hit "America". Ook de daaropvolgende singles domineerden in 2006 en 2007 de Britse en buitenlandse radio. En dat was nog maar het begin: drie albums in de Top 5, negen platina awards, een NME Award en sterke passages op onder meer Reading Festival en Live 8. In 2021 kwam de oorspronkelijke bezetting - Johnny Borrell (zang/gitaar), Björn Ågren (gitaar), Carl Dalemo (bas) en Andy Burrows (drums) - opnieuw samen. In 2024 brachten ze 'Planet Nowhere' uit, hun eerste gezamenlijke album sinds 2008. Sinds hun comeback rijgen ze de uitverkochte shows aaneen, met onder meer een passage in de Eventim Apollo in Londen, en stonden ze opnieuw op het podium met acts als Muse en Kaiser Chiefs. Razorlight is helemaal terug en klaar om de indie rockscene opnieuw energie te geven, en fans mee te nemen naar de sound van de jaren 2000. Afspraak op 1 november in La Madeleine!

Inspired by skateboarding culture, the track pays tribute to the people, places, and moments that come with growing up on four wheels. Borrowing its title from the legendary skateboarder Rodney Mullen, whose technical innovation and creative approach redefined modern skateboarding.
The song reflects on endless days spent skating at local Ghent skateparks such as Keizerpark and growing up within the city's skate scene, alongside crews like Dirty South and 1st8 Skateshop. Looking back, Claeys sees those formative years as an experience that left a lasting mark on him.
"Skateboarding gave me a sense of creativity, freedom, and belonging, and in ways helped shape the musician I am today. It has so many similarities to jazz that I only fully recognize now, years later. Both are communities that welcome anyone, regardless of where they come from or who they are, there's value to anyone who takes part in them. That is also why I chose to continue my path in jazz rather than another genre. In many ways, it felt familiar. I had grown up skateboarding and spent nearly a decade immersed in that community, so the spirit of jazz already felt deeply connected to something I knew and understood."
Rooted in a contemporary jazz vocabulary and drawing inspiration from artists such as Ambrose Akinmusire, Robert Glasper, and Jason Moran, Claeys explores the space where jazz and hip-hop aesthetics meet. Fragments of sampled audio connected to Rodney Mullen are woven into the composition, functioning less as direct quotation than as texture and reference, while nodding to the vital role sampling continues to play within hip-hop music.
Rather than approaching nostalgia as sentimentality, "RODNEY'S DANCE" draws from the quiet but lasting influence of the spaces and subcultures that shape people over time. More than a composition about skateboarding, the track revisits a specific moment within youth culture, where music, movement, and community continuously overlap.

ORSON CLAEYS
Orson Claeys (1998, Ghent) is a Belgian jazz pianist and composer who has rapidly emerged as a distinctive voice within the contemporary jazz scene. With a strong musical vision and a refined compositional instinct, he merges modern jazz with influences from hip hop, Middle Eastern music, and R&B. His work moves between introspective melodies, layered rhythms, and adventurous improvisation, always driven by a keen sense of atmosphere and storytelling.
After studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Claeys quickly gained recognition within the Belgian jazz landscape. Less than a year after graduating, he signed with the renowned label Sdban Ultra, further developing his artistic trajectory.
Over the past two years, he has emerged as a notable new artist within the Belgian jazz landscape. Following the release of his debut EP Odyssey to Self in 2024, he performed at leading venues and festivals including Ancienne Belgique, De Roma, Gent Jazz, Flagey, Leuven Jazz, and Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend. Along the way, he was selected for Brussels Jazz Alert and national radio station Klara's Twintigers program, featured on the Lefto Presents Jazz Cats compilation, and received the jury prize at the first edition of Brussels Jazz Vanguard.
Claeys is currently in the final stretch towards the release of his debut album, which is steadily taking shape as a work where jazz and hip-hop naturally intertwine, informed by influences drawn from boxing, skateboarding, and wider street culture. With his open approach to composition and a growing reputation as a live performer, Orson Claeys stands among a new generation of Belgian jazz musicians who are bringing a contemporary and international dynamic to the genre.

The new album, which builds on the duet theme, is a record of that shared history and a testament to their independent work ethic. 'Stay Lonely' was written, recorded, producedand mixed by the duo themselves, without a manager, A&R or external producer. That total control gives the album a direct, unrefined edge: no outside comfort, but also no filters that might soften the core of their sound. The DIY approach is consistent with a career that has often operated outside mainstream strategies; Blood Red Shoes have always charted their course based on artistic impulse and loyalty to their own aesthetic.

"'Stay Lonely' is a romantic but melancholic record. It comes from a place of truth and understanding that could have only come from two people who are so comfortable with each other it's possible to be truly unguarded and honest in a way that is usually only possible with solo artists. But we are not solo artists. We are two distinct people with two voices, two perspectives, somehow wrapped around each other into one thing we call Blood Red Shoes. Somehow, we are lonely but together."

Through the release of a double single, the band reinforces its defining concept: two voices, two perspectives, and two distinct identities woven together. 'Start To End' is built around the interplay between male and female voices, the song tells the story of someone stepping into the night, leaving something behind and choosing a solitary path. Yet that solitude is immediately called into question: two voices narrate the journey, two perspectives inhabit the same story. Is it truly one person walking away, or are we hearing two sides of the same self?

'Get Back Into Myself' was one of the first written songs that came together for the album. Although Blood Red Shoes doesn't have that many external influences, they enjoyed playing around with early digital sampling technology, inspired by DJ Shadow and Portishead. Unlike the cinematic softness of analogue grain, early digital technology feels raw, sharp and imperfect. Both share the vocals, adding a harmonious quality that keeps the duo dynamic and versatile.

To promote the album, the duo will also embark on an EU/UK tour, scheduled for October 2026. This tour will cement their reputation as a live act that never disappoints: two musicians, one wall of sound — a format that actually sharpens their identity as a duo. The pioneering electronic dance act Lords of Acid have released their third single of 2026 today (12th June). Blending infectious electronic beats, Latin-inspired hooks and the tongue-in-cheek attitude that has made the group a cult favourite all over the globe, 'El Mundo Está Loco' (The World Is Crazy) is a dance floor anthem for a world that seems to be getting crazier by the day.

Driven by an irresistible chorus and a playful exchange between Lords of Acid and the New York City-based duo Tony & The Kiki, the song captures the chaos, absurdity and excitement of modern life while inviting listeners to do the only sensible thing left....dance. Because, when the world goes crazy, turn up the music.

Tony & The Kiki blend gritty NYC glamour, disco decadence, punk, soul and high-voltage anthems into an unapologetically queer rock-and-roll spectacle. Channelling the spirit of Blondie, Queen and Scissor Sisters through a modern, theatrical, arena-ready lens, they have built a significant cult following and been praised by icons that include Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Cyndi Lauper, Grace Slick and even Fred Durst.

It quickly became clear that Tony & The Kiki belonged in the Lords of Acid universe, so the idea of having them guest on 'El Mundo Está Loco' felt like the perfect collaboration - loud, chaotic, sexy, theatrical and completely unhinged in all the right ways. The duo also performed as one of the guest acts on the recently completed 'Cheeky Freaky Tour' of the USA with Lords of Acid.

'El Mundo Está Loco' follows the 2026 singles 'Karaoke Superstar' STREAM | BANDCAMP | VIDEO (a tongue-in-cheek collaboration with the hit-making US vocalist and DJ Princess Superstar) and 'Dream Boy' STREAM | BANDCAMP, which features the voice of reigning 'Acid Queen' Carla Harvey. All three songs will appear on a long-awaited seventh Lords Of Acid album in late 2026 that is set to feature other notable guest vocalists alongside Harvey.

Formed in Antwerp, Belgium in 1988, Lords of Acid are recognised as one of the most influential acts to emerge from the hard-edged electronic dance music scene of that era. Adopting and adapting underground club culture aesthetics fom the off, they blended techno, acid house and industrial music with provocative lyrics on themes of sexuality, drug use and hedonism. Debuting with the classic New Beat single 'I Sit On Acid', their debut album 'Lust' appeared in 1991 and was followed periodically by further releases that saw the group become a staple of the Billboard dance and alternative charts. Having built a substantial global following while maintaining a multi-decade touring career, Lords of Acid remain one of their genre's most recognisable and enduring names.
