LIMITE - Under the Light, yet under
Brussels based Limite embodies a unique blend of contemporay jazz roots with indie alternative rock, no wave, and avant-folk, drawing influences from Blonde Redhead, Big Thief, Daniel Rossen, Joanna Newsom, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Deerhoof, Sonic Youth, Jim O' Rourke.
'Under The Light, Yet Under' is a musical love letter to Emily Dickinson. The song unfolds like a riddle, revealing its meaning only at the end and reflecting on the fragile line between the living and the dead. It’s the first single from Limite's upcoming debut album 'A Thought Went Up My Mind Today', out April 3th on W.E.R.F. Records.
Limite’s debut album is a surreal serpentine detour from the real world, winding and curving through the strange and secrete realms of unlikely characters. It carries you into abysses of chimera seas, cruising along like a road movie of the mind. Steered by the gripping words of Emily Dickinson, it is a solitary walk along the side of a road to parts unknown.
