Dublin's Gurriers share new single, Nothing Happens Twice, the third track to be lifted from their forthcoming album, Nobody's Coming To Save You, set for release on 25 September 2026 via their new label home, Play It Again Sam.

Fueled by scorching electric guitars and feverish intensity, Nothing Happens Twice is an absurdist take on the state of the modern world, inspired by Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. Blending existential lyricism with the 'dead internet' theory, Nothing Happens Twice explores the idea that online, we're increasingly surrounded by bots rather than people, whilst further dissecting political unease, digital alienation and dark humour.

Harnessing a suffocating sense of stagnation, the infectious hook "nothing ever happens here, nothing happens twice" is amplified by vocalist Dan Hoff's delivery, which bleeds with the frustration and disillusionment of the modern day.

Nothing Happens Twice, which was premiered by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, serves as another statement of intent that accelerates the Dublin outfit's rapid upward trajectory. The single follows the release of the album's fierce and unflinching title track, Nobody's Coming To Save You, which was A-Listed at BBC Radio 6 Music and has received support from NME, Rolling Stone, KEXP and Wonderland as well as their latest single, the fan favourite, Party Lines.

Recorded between Donegal's Attica Studios and Holy Mountain Studios in London, Nobody's Coming To Save You was produced by Mark Bowen (Idles) and Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter), alongside engineer Chris Fullard (Idles, Sunn O)))) and mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Swans). The album captures Gurriers scaling up every element that made their debut so compelling - sharper dynamics, towering production and an even more urgent worldview.

Formed during the pandemic, Gurriers quickly built a reputation for bone-rattling, mosh ready live shows and sharp, socially conscious songwriting. Since their debut's release, the milestones have continued to stack up: a standout appearance on Later... with Jools Holland, main stage performances across Glastonbury's Woodsies and Leftfield stages, and arena support slots with Turnstile and Kneecap.

On Nobody's Coming To Save You, Gurriers channel the spirit of protest, resistance and personal reflection into some of their most ambitious material to date. This is Gurriers taking all the musical chemistry and smart, interrogational worldview that made them great in the first place, and souping it up to the next level. From the rattling tension of the title track's opening moments, to slow-burning intensity and dance-punk hedonism, giving way to a cacophonous, cathartic climax, Nobody's Coming To Save You takes this spirit of the sweaty basement venue and turns it stadium-sized. It's not just loud, but dynamic.
