Even voorstellen - NOIRA Releases New Single “Some change”
A Feel-Good Anthem of Self-Growth and Boundaries - Featuring ROSE MAY and Co-Produced with Jamie Brown
What if all it took was some change? A shift in habits, mindset, and boundaries — and suddenly, life feels lighter. That realization sparked Budapest-based singer-songwriter NOIRA’s brand-new single Some Change, out August 22. The track is the final preview of her upcoming EP It Used to Be Yellow (October 2025) and her most pop-forward release to date, blending her alternative R’n’B roots with an undeniably infectious chorus.
“Some Change is a classic feel-good anthem in a more upbeat pop style than what I usually do, but it’s still very me. I needed to live through the darker moments in order to move forward — but I really missed a little life-affirmation!” says NOIRA.
The single features rising Hungarian rap & R’n’B artist ROSE MAY, whose smooth verse cuts through the track’s buoyant energy:
“Working with NOIRA was truly refreshing. My verse’s first version made it to the end, and there were no second takes. It just felt right this way.” says ROSE MAY.
Behind the mix is UK producer Jamie Brown (Olivia Rodrigo, Fred Again, Stormzy, Niall Horan), who joined the project through the HOTS Hungarian Music Export Office’s SongLab program.
“Was really fun travelling to Budapest to work with NOIRA. I played a small part in the production and mixed it. I'm hoping to work again with NOIRA in the future,” says Brown.
The studio recording features some of NOIRA’s live band members, with harp-like guitars by Fanny Gyarmati and brass sections from Sára Erdei and Barnabás Gáll, while a fully live version of the song, involving her full band, will also be released.
