Even voorstellen – Yuuf announce new EP ‘Mt. Sava’
YUUF ANNOUNCE NEW EP 'MT. SAVA' OUT 24TH OCTOBER ON TECHNICOLOUR

NEW SINGLE "MESA MESA" OUT NOW
Mesa Mesa
CONCERT 26th NOVEMBER @ AMOR, ANTWERPEN

Instrumental four-piece Yuuf return with a new EP 'Mt. Sava', out 24th October on Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour. The release follows their earlier 2025 EP 'Alma's Cove', a six-track journey through natural soundscapes and quiet introspection.

Described by the band as the "spiritual sister to 'Alma's Cove'", 'Mt. Sava' shifts the setting from lush coastal tranquility to the awe-inspiring scale of mountainous desert terrain - one that "lets the listener both explore the serenity of a night sky filled with stars far removed from human life and the brutality and fierceness of life in the desert" the band comment.

Alongside the EP announcement Yuuf share lead single "Mesa Mesa" - a homage to the majestic flat-top mountains of the desert. On "Mesa Mesa" Yuuf pull influences ranging from Mdou Moctar to Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, embracing a heavier sound without losing their atmospheric core.

Elsewhere on 'Mt. Sava', Yuuf invites the listener to further explore this vast landscape across its six tracks. Opener "Moon Dive" gently sets the tone, offering a peaceful and meditative space that allows for contemplation and rest, as the night is starting to fade away. In contrast, "Night Aïr" captures the vibrant pulse of the desert after dark, inspired by the unique feel, scent, and temperature shifts of mountain nights; "a feeling much more palpable in a mountainous and desert environment with big changes in temperature and humidity during a day/night cycle" they add.

"Ørken Bloom", from the Danish word for desert, is a dynamic, fast-paced track that reflects the rising sun. Elsewhere, "Calima" offers a moment of calm, referencing the winds that carry Sahara sand across continents.

Yuuf will release 'Mt. Sava' EP on the 24th October on Technicolour. "Mesa Mesa" is out now.
