Met een mix van indiepop en retro vibes is “Endless Possibilities” een feelgood-track die tegelijk de release aankondigt van het album “Stains On The Dancefloor”, dat op 24 oktober 2025 uitkomt.

Welnu, die figuranten werden gevonden, dankuwel. Meer nog: die video is intussen én uit sinds vandaag, graag gedaan! En alsof dat nog niet volstond hebben we nog heel erg fijn nieuws over de man zelve, geloof het of niet

De figuranten die zich toen hadden aangemeld hebben met de eigen ogen kunnen zien welk huzarenstukje de videoclip voor 'Cut op de set' is geworden, voor alle andere stervelingen in deze mailinglijst is het vooralsnog nog gissen naar het eindresultaat. Helaas ontbreekt het ons momenteel aan de tijd om u nog wat langer in suspens te laten, dus bij deze: de onwaarschijnlijk sterke videoclip voor 'Cut op de set'! Ober, voor ons een MIA voor beste muziekvideo 2025 graag.

Omdat goed nieuws nooit alleen verschijnt: Brihang laat u graag weten dat hij in het voorjaar van 2026 op tour gaat langs de Vlaamse cc's en theaterzalen. Maar liefst een dertigtal plekken doet hij aan op drie maanden tijd, dus u gaat fameus uit uw pijp moeten komen om hem en zijn magistrale live-show te missen! Want na deze tour gaat hij even voor onbepaalde duur terug onder de radar. Geen nieuwe muziek, geen nieuwe muziek, geen mediaverschijningen meer. Even geen Brihang meer, maar gewoon Boudy Verleye die ergens terug een doodnormaal leven probeert te leven. Het weze hem volledig gegund, denken we zo.

The Radar Station share new tracks from their upcoming album 'Birds Of Choice', which will be released on September 12 via V2 Records. "Are you the right person in the wrong time and place?" Asks Brent in the first single called 'January Colours'. It's a deeply personal song about depression and the pressure it puts on lovers, family and friends. It's about the balance between accepting help and leaning to heavily on someone without being able to stand on your own two feet.
The second track 'Winged Seeds' is the 8th song on the tracklist and the personal favourite of lead singer Brent Buckler. It's a song that gives away Buckler's admiration for the music of Jason Molina and the poetic writings of Haruki Murakami.
Third single Fortune Fades" is a 21st-century protest song, driven by righteous anger and a restless groove.
Brent Buckler says: "I wrote the lyrics after witnessing a scene at a café in Brussels, just across from 'het klein kasteeltje', a refugee centre. A young, impeccably dressed woman sipped her cocktail, untouched by the world around her, while dozens of refugees waited in line, sheltering in worn-out one-minute tents. One man, overwhelmed by the injustice, hurled a beer glass and shouted in a language we didn't understand. Later, the police questioned him. She was simply annoyed by the broken glass. But one day, the tables will turn. Our luck will run out. Our fortune will fade."Buckler about the writing process of Birds Of Choice: "I wrote the lyrics after a restless period eating up the better part of my late 20s. A play of coincidence shaped my life, only to wake up realising it all didn't feel right. It was a time of big changes with some old friendships and relationships coming to an end. Birds Of Choice is about looking for what truly matters and taking control of your own path in life."
Birds Of Choice is the follow up to their debut album 'Life Inside A Tornado', which the band released after winning Studio Brussels De Nieuwe Lichting in 2020. After Brent Beukelaere's successful dutch solo album 'Ramen Als Ogen' (2024), a few years of reflection and several late night writing sessions in the south of France, The Radar Station is back! Although there is a gap of five years between the first and second album, there has been passionately worked on 'Birds Of Choice' behind the scenes. The new album is produced by Koen Gisen (The Bony King Of Nowhere, Oscar & The Wolf, Nordmann) and reflects a more mature and straightforward band.
The album's artwork, which encapsulates the mood and themes of Birds Of Choice, was created by Benoit Vangeel, from the pictures of Ilo Meeze, whose style brings a striking visual narrative to the album. *

ARCHIVE, the unique, enigmatic and acclaimed collective who formed in Croydon, South London in 1994, have today announced details of their 13th studio album Glass Minds, which is released on Friday 27th February 2026 via the band's own Dangervisit label through [PIAS].
Talking about 'Look At Us', the first single to be lifted from the album, a track which finds the band at their most driven, pounding best, with its insistent guitar rift running throughout, ARCHIVE main man Darius Keeler said:
'Look At Us' is quite simply a banger! With ominous lyrics, which I interpret as a reflection on the truly distorted world we live in, I think it's one of our best singles to date.
The track is accompanied by a visually stunning video directed by Maxim Kelly who said:
The video is a Southern Gothic piece designed to look as authentic as possible through black and white documentary-style cinematography. Since the song explores lies and deception, I wanted the medium itself to embody that theme by making viewers trust the familiar visual language of documentary photography creating a meta-commentary on deception where the medium literally becomes the message.

Glass Minds is the follow-up to the band's 2022 triple-album set, Call to Arms & Angels, which charted Top 10 in countries right across Europe and saw the band headline their biggest live shows to date, culminating at the 15,000 capacity Paris Accor Arena in November 2023.
The album marks a powerful evolution in the band's 30-year journey. Initiated by the core quartet, the record embraces a minimal, down-tempo sound with expansive, emotive space. The addition of Essex rapper Jimmy Collins brings a fierce, haunting energy to 'Heads Are Gonna Roll', while singer Lisa Mottram delivers spontaneous brilliance across several tracks, including the hypnotic title song and the brooding 'The Love The Light'.
The album's versatility spans raw, percussive rhythms in 'When You're This Down', electro-pop touches in 'Wake Up Strange', and motorik vibes in 'Look At Us'. At the emotional core is 'So Far From Losing You', an eight-minute epic blending rap and vocals that reflects Keeler's personal life. Driven by a desire to create without boundaries, Archive continue to challenge and inspire fans, proving that their creative spark burns as bright as ever.
Talking about the new album, Keeler said:
The album all started after we composed the song Patterns. We really loved the space and minimalistic power of the song, it reminded us of our debut album Londinium, and how we approached writing at that time - heavy rhythm with a melancholy that penetrates the soul. I was listening to Elgar's Nimrod a lot at the time we started writing the new album, and I wanted to use brass as an added dimension, bringing even more emotion to the songs. Our last album, Call to Arms & Angels was a pretty heavy record in retrospect, due to the whole Covid experience. This one feels like we're breaking out into a more expansive and uplifting dimension.

Archive are a South London-based musical collective renowned for their cinematic soundscapes, genre-defying evolution, and uncompromising artistic vision. Formed in 1994 by Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths—former members of pioneering drum & bass group Genaside II—the band debuted with the critically acclaimed Londinium in 1996, blending trip-hop, rap, and orchestral textures.

Alice on the roof, een vaste waarde in de Belgische muziekscene – sinds kort getekend bij het gerenommeerde Franse label tôt Ou tard (Vianney, Mentissa, Vincent Delerm, Albin de la Simone, etc.) – brengt vandaag een moderne popballade uit met de titel Comme je t'ai aimé.
De track werd geproduceerd door Albin de la Simone (Pomme, Jeanne Cherhal, Miossec) en mede geschreven met Adrien Gallo. In de song blikt Alice terug op een liefde die, ondanks de teleurstelling, een diepe indruk heeft nagelaten. Het resultaat is een elegante productie met verfijnde teksten: een veelbelovende eerste stap richting haar nieuwe, volledig Franstalige project.

Melody's Echo Chamber, the moniker of French musician Melody Prochet, returns with her new single "Daisy", a collaboration with El Michels Affair, aka Leon Michels (Clairo, Olivia Dean, Kali Uchis, Norah Jones).
A sparkling pop song plucked from the ether, "Daisy" features spidery fills and tricksy, Hendrix-like fret noodling that navigate their way through several key changes fluently and effortlessly. El Michels Affair's Grammy-winning mixer, Jens Jungkurth, was drafted in to bring everything to life.
"Daisy started as a daydream while listening to Leon's finest music," says Melody. "I reached out to him, and we instantly created this sweet overlapping zone—like an invisible playground between our worlds. It's a privilege to have made this one together!"
Leon Michels, aka El Michels Affair, is a Grammy award-winning producer and artist who has worked with the likes of Clairo, Norah Jones, Lizzo, The Carters, Wu-Tang Clan and more. It's been an eventful decade or so for Melody Prochet and she has achieved much in spite of some tribulations: a mother and the maker of three critically lauded and much-loved albums: Bon Voyage from 2018, Emotional Eternal from 2022 as well as her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2012. Gorillaz brengen nieuw studioalbum The Mountain uit op 20 maart 2026 - het eerste album via hun eigen label KONG. De eerste single "The Happy Dictator (feat. Sparks)" is nu uit.
The Mountain is het negende studioalbum van Gorillaz, een uitgestrekt sonisch landschap van instrumenten en klanken, rijk gelaagd met stemmen, melodieën en verslavende beats. Het album bevat 15 nummers die de essentie van de samenwerkende ethos van Gorillaz belichamen. THE MOUNTAIN-TOUR & KONG STUDIOS
Naast de aankondiging van het album, kondigen ze ook The Mountain Tour aan, die in het voorjaar van 2026 arenas door het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Ierland zal aandoen. De tour volgt op de uitverkochte, met vijf sterren bekroonde House of Kong-tentoonstelling en vier triomfantelijke optredens in de Copper Box Arena, waar The Guardian Gorillaz prees als "nog steeds meeslepend en relevant". The Mountain Tour start op 21 maart 2026 in Manchester en doet daarna Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast en Dublin aan. Daarnaast is er een eenmalig concert in het Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Londen op zaterdag 20 juni 2026, met Sparks en Trueno als support. Ondertussen bevinden Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, 2D en Noodle zich in India, nadat ze dankzij vier valse paspoorten - geregeld door een zakenrelatie van Murdoc in New York - hun weg naar Mumbai hebben gevonden. De band heeft de rug toegekeerd naar internationale poproem en is nu ondergedompeld in de ritmes van mystieke muziek, terwijl onze helden de bergachtige landschappen van dit ding dat het leven heet verkennen.
Gorillaz-drummer Russel Hobbs zei: "Als stof uit de ruimte zijn we hier voor altijd en dat is een verdomd lange tijd. Dit is een muzikale meditatie doordrenkt met licht. Een reis van de ziel, met beats..."
Deze week vierden fans wereldwijd de langverwachte terugkeer van Kong Studios - de thuisbasis van Gorillaz. Sinds begin 2000 fungeerde Kong Studios als het hoofdkwartier van de band, tot het in verval raakte en uiteindelijk in 2008 door Murdoc in brand werd gestoken. De originele Kong Studio was een baanbrekende virtuele ontmoetingsplek waar fans konden rondkijken in de woon- en opnamevertrekken van de band, muziek konden beluisteren, spelletjes konden spelen, zombies konden bevechten en nog veel meer. Nu is Kong Studios volledig gerestaureerd in al zijn glorie, met een frisse verflaag, als een gamified online fan experience.

Roerige tijden vragen om roerige bands. Nu verschijnt het langverwachte debuutalbum ‘Pain to Power’ (via Music For Nations/Sony Music) van de uit Manchester afkomstige band Maruja, die zich middels een even energieke als explosieve mix van jazz-punk en artrock uitlaat over actuele sociaal-maatschappelijk-politieke vraagstukken. Het geëngageerde 'Pain to Power' toont resoluut aan dat Maruja diep begaan is met de kracht van gemeenschap en solidariteit als motoren voor sociale en politieke verandering.
Dat klinkt door in alle acht vlekkeloos uitgewerkte tracks, die de luisteraar meenemen van de frustratie en woede van de furieuze openingstrack 'Bloodsport' - tevens de nieuwe single - en de door BBC 6Music veel gedraaide 'Look Down On Us', naar de sublieme spiritualiteit van 'Zaytoun' en de overweldigende afsluiter 'Reconcile' – een negen minuten durend meesterwerk dat zich opbouwt rond Joe Carroll's grensverleggende saxofoon, en uitmondt in frontman Harry Wilkinson's hartstochtelijke oproepen om te “bidden voor liefde” en “geen angst te hebben”.
In 'Pain to Power' staat een cyclus van tragedie en hoop centraal. "Het album begint bruut en verandert in iets krachtigs en expressiefs", licht tekstschrijver/rapper/zanger Harry toe. "We moeten vertrouwen op die cirkel van het leven, en op onze kracht om pijn te overwinnen." Het album volgt de opbouw van een live-show van Maruja: een golf van energie die uitmondt in een staat van transcendentie – muziek die herrijst uit de as. Maruja gelooft sterk in het vermogen van kunst om te versterken, te helen en te verbinden, en heeft met ‘Pain to Power’ een oeuvre gecreëerd dat zowel kracht als emotionele ontlading biedt aan iedereen die worstelt met de gevolgen van jarenlange politieke onrust en sociale isolatie.
Door Maruja’s overtuiging in de kracht van muziek om verandering teweeg te brengen is het album een indringende muzikale oproep tot solidariteit en liefde in diep zorgelijke tijden. Eén van de meest innovatieve en opwindende bands van dit moment is het uit Manchester afkomstige Maruja, die cosmic jazz (met een saxofoon als dominant instrument), hardcore, (breakbeat) punk, rap, postpunk en noise tot een indringend muzikaal geheel samensmeedt. Sinds 2020 heeft Maruja een aantal EP's en singles uitgebracht die lovende kritieken kregen van onder meer The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Glastonbury, BBC 6 Radio, NME, SoYoung Magazine, DIY Magazine, en RateYourMusic.
Een onvergetelijk optreden op Glastonbury plus een livesessie bij de BBC hebben Maruja's status in eigen land verder versterkt. In Groot-Brittannië is Maruja dan ook aan een niet te stoppen opmars bezig, maar ook buiten de eigen landsgrenzen speelt deze bijzondere band zich intussen flink in de kijker. Maruja draait in essentie om solidariteit, compassie en de kracht van kennis en gemeenschap als motor voor broodnodige maatschappelijke verandering.

Even voorstellen – Ocean Alley – Love balloon
Ocean Alley, de zeskoppige surfrock band uit Australië brengt op 19 september hun langspeler Love Balloon uit.
De band staat bekend om hun mix van psychedelische surfrock met aanstekelijke melodieën en positieve energie. Ze braken door met de song Confidence, waarmee ze onder andere op social media viraal gingen. Dit jaar keerde de band terug met frisse singles Tangerine, Left of the Dealer en titeltrack Love Balloon; een voorbode van wat van hun album kunnen verwachten.
Hun komende vijfde album is in samenwerking met producer Nick DiDia (o.a. Bruce Springsteen en Rage Against The Machine) tot stand gekomen. Het resultaat is een meer uitgeklede, emotioneel geladen sound. Op de langspeler verkent Ocean Alley thema's als liefde, kwetsbaarheid en verbinding – soms groots en hoopvol, soms rauw en introspectief. Een meeslepende plaat waarmee je even ontsnapt aan de buitenwereld.

Nu verschijnt CLOUDS (Indifferent remix), de vierde single van de Oostendse drummer en producer Ronny Wondr.
Ronny Wondr gaat aan de slag met Clouds, een nummer van momoyo dat hij oorspronkelijk zelf drumde. Als Ronny een remix maakt, laat hij niets van het origineel over. Hij stripte de track tot alleen de zang overbleef. Van daaruit begon hij opnieuw: nieuwe groove, nieuw akkoordenschema, nieuwe structuur. Opnieuw speelde hij alle instrumenten zelf. Het resultaat is meer dan een remix een echt Ronny Wondrnummer. Dansbaar en funky.
Renaud Debruyne AKA Ronny Wondr is een drummer/producer uit Oostende. Hij studeerde jazz aan het KASK-Conservatorium in Gent en drumt bij een breed scala aan bands, van hiphop en funk tot indie (momoyo, Foutloos, Shoreline Collective, Vincent Coomans, Mergel, Mirek Coutigny).
Aanvankelijk maakte Ronny Wondr hiphopbeats uit samples van oude soul, funk en jazzplaten. Vanuit zijn liefde voor live spelen evolueerde hij naar een meer organische aanpak, gebaseerd op zijn eigen drumgrooves. In zijn nieuwe tracks speelt hij alle instrumenten zelf, maar nog steeds geënt op de traditie van hiphop, funk en soul.

Galway via London fourpiece The Clockworks make their fresh return with atmospheric new single 'Best Days' released via V2 Records.
With a cinematic and all-encompassing sound, The Clockworks introduced themselves with debut album 'Exit Strategy' in 2023 and their self-titled EP 'The Clockworks' in 2022, gaining acclaim from the likes of BBC 6Music and BBC Radio 1. With a soundscape that pulls from seemingly disparate regions of the musical landscape, namechecking Daft Punk next to Pixies, next to Ennio Morricone, they are influenced not only by an extensive musical palette, but also through their passion for film and literature. Lyrically, singer and lyricist James McGregor writes with purpose, integrity and emotion, balancing light with darkness and finding poetic intrigue in everyday life.
New single 'Best Days' was written alongside a collection of new material last year and marks a new chapter for the band and the start of their musical relationship with V2 Records. Self-produced, led by Sean Connelly, it builds with both intensity and emotion, revealing journal-like observations about a destructive relationship.
Speaking about 'Best Days', the band says;
"This song was a labour of love that almost didn't make it. Before it was fully written we knew how the song would start, how we wanted it to feel, and where it would sit in the context of our new music, but it took a while to get the lyrics and vocal melody right. The lyrics describe a harmful relationship and the things you tell yourself to not let that relationship go."

Few Bits zet hun mooi parcours verder met ‘Cobblestones’ - een heerlijk greasy slacker rocker die klinkt als een jangly versie van Courtney Barnett of Sparklehorse ten tijde van ‘Rainmaker’. Vorige singles (‘Brick Houses’, ‘Future Dives’) werden vlot opgepikt door media en streamers in De Lage Landen maar ook over het water met playlist bij KEXP en de invloedrijke YouTube curator David Dean Burkhart als highlights.
Frontvrouw Karolien Van Ransbeeck: “‘Cobblestones’ is een nostalgische ode aan nachten die jong bleven, terugdenkend aan de tijd dat mijn zus in Barcelona woonde. We voelden ons vrij, balancerend op hoge hakken over de kasseien van de binnenstad, letterlijk én figuurlijk zoekend naar evenwicht."
Few Bits tourde in een vorig leven door Europa met The War On Drugs (ten tijde van ‘Lost in a Dream’) en speelde op SXSW en Canadian Music Week. Het voorbije jaar was het Antwerpse zestal te zien op o.a. Left of The Dial (Rotterdam), Crossing Border (Antwerpen) en Les Nuits Botanique (Brussel).
Op 21 november zijn ze helemaal terug met hun nieuwe album ‘Brick Houses’, dat ze in december voorstellen in Arenberg (Antwerpen), Wintercircus (Gent) en Mezz (Breda).

Dear Uncle Lennie, a trio born out of the prolific Belgian jazz scene, experiments with the power of classical songwriting and storytelling without words through short instrumental forms. Their second album, 'Sister Juniper' (release on 26th September), is a collection of intimate snapshots: behind the evocative song titles, an entire family epic emerges. The miniatures are accompanied by longer compositions with complex narratives, and Joachim Badenhorst’s guest appearance on clarinet also contributes to the expansion of the band’s universe. 'Behind The Barn Grew Three Little Trees' is the single of the new album.
Two siblings kids share their youth years with three little trees, planted by their dear uncle just before they were born. trees and children share the same discovery of what life could be, as a kid, as a tree, witnesses of the same cyclic storms of joys and disappointment. For their entire life, those recurring trans organic reunions will be like small inner pilgrimages towards a land of peace filled with blurred memories and distant laughs.

Dear Uncle Lennie is a trio formed in 2022 by pianist and composer Camille-Alban Spreng with guitarist Benjamin Sauzereau and Marco Giongrandi on banjo. The three musicians share many common projects and over the past 10 years have developed a common affinity for intimate and sensitive music, experimental research and creation of new musical languages. The trio released their first album in 2022 on Yolk Records (Victoire du jazz 2019 - Best Label). The project was awarded Revelation Jazz Magazine in the December 2022 issue, 4 stars in Le Soir, and the music was broadcast on France Inter, Fip Radio, Musique 3, BX1, Klara, etc. It was also well received by the public, which allowed the project, after a first Belgian release tour (Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, Grimbergen, Eupen), to do another tour in Italy in March 2023 at the invitation of the Bergamo Jazz Festival (Bergamo, Milano, Genova, Brescia). Over the years, the trio has developed a unique group sound and proved to be a fantastic creative playground. These experiences inspired them to collaborate with Antwerp clarinettist Joachim Badenhorst and Ghent producer Koen Gisen on a new album 'Sister Juniper' to be released on BMC Records.
The trio's main idea is to create a repertoire inspired by small, compact and highly evocative poetic forms, and to apply to it a folk universe and a narrative imaginarium borrowed from the classic era of songwriting - in addition to exploring the acoustic possibilities of a small ensemble composed only of strings, adapting the language of finger-picking (a typically guitaristic technique) to piano playing, and generating a trance effect by blurring the acoustic boundaries between the different instruments. In addition to the influences already present on the first album (Joanna Newsom, Leonard Cohen, Sufjan Stevens, Sam Amidon), this new repertoire with Joachim Badenhorst includes other influences from improvised music (Fred Frith and Oren Ambarchi in particular) and jazz (Bill Frisell).
At the core of the Dear Uncle Lennie project is the desire to create a warm, wholesome, unique and welcoming environment during the live shows; a fireside where stories can be told. The trio, enhanced by the presence of Joachim Badenhorst, conjures up this imaginary world to arouse curiosity and invite audiences to take an interest in new music and new forms. In this sense, through the evocative titles of the songs, the hyper-narrative compositions and the atmospheric quality of the concerts, Dear Uncle Lennie has created a world with its own characters, its own stories and its own fantasy world. As Jacques Prouvost put it in a review after the album release concert in Brussels in December 2022: "The power of this trio is to take you into the unknown without losing you. To thrill you without scaring you. It is a (concept) concert in the form of a children tale or rather for adults who have retained a child soul."
