Available on streaming services and two unique seven-inch singles, Elitest G.O.A.T. from the Nottingham duo’s recent Top 10 album The Demise Of Planet X has been reborn as The Prodigy Acid Thunder Remix by Liam Howlett.
The remix not only unites two creative kindred spirits, as both bands share a mix of electro innovation, acerbic lyrics and righteous passion, but also weaves in Aldous Harding’s light-as-a-cloud vocal from the original track, underlining why the singer-songwriter is one of modern music’s most essential voices.
Seamlessly fusing The Prodigy’s pioneering spirit with the Mods’ innovative energy, the new mix ups the elite levels with vicious beats and squelchy synths.
In addition, Sleaford Mods’ own Andrew Fearn has reworked of the track as Extnddntwrk, creating his intense and engaging Broken Prayer Mix of Elitest G.O.A.T.
“Who could ask for more? A Prodigy Remix for Elitest GOAT that turns it into another tune entirely,” declares Mods’ frontman Jason Williamson. “I can’t believe it. Added to that is Extnddntwrk’s under the sensor shift as well. Fuckin’ yes!”
For The Prodigy, the remix was a chance to reignite the artistic bonds between the two groups which first began when Williamson appeared as a featured vocalist on the Essex band’s 2015 album, The Day Is My Enemy.
“Me and Jason collaborated on our tune, Ibiza, a few years back, so it was good to get involved with the lads again on this remix,” says The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett.
“I wanted to hear Jason's snarlin' vocal on some dirty, acid 303, so that’s what I cooked up for my version. Along with Aldous Harding’s great vocal, which comes at a different angle to the original tune… Acid Thunder, baby!”
The first features The Prodigy Acid Thunder Remix of Elitest G.O.A.T., backed by an instrumental version of the reworking on gold-coloured vinyl, and will be available from all good record shops.
The second seven boasts The Prodigy’s version of Elitest G.O.A.T. alongside Fearn’s Extnnddntwrk Broken Prayer Mix on red vinyl and is exclusively on sale through Sleaford Mods’ and Rough Trade Records’ online shops, plus can be ordered via the band’s Bandcamp page.
The original version of the track featured on Sleaford Mods’ The Demise Of Planet X which went Top.10 in the UK on its release in January this year.
The duo’s most expansive and ambitious album to date, alongside Aldous Harding, the record boasted a rare guest appearance from former Life Without Buildings frontwoman Sue Tompkins; Game Of Thrones and Severance actress Gwendoline Christie’s musical debut; vocals from acclaimed Black Country duo The Big Special; plus collaborations with soul singer Liam Bailey and grime MC Snowy, who both hail from Sleaford Mods’ hometown Nottingham.

"Darling, just you and forever": met die woorden zet Bleachers de toon voor hun nieuwe albumtijdperk. Op vrijdag 20 november 2026 brengt de Amerikaanse indie-popband dat nieuwe hoofdstuk ook live naar België voor een exclusieve show in het Koninklijk Circus in Brussel, als onderdeel van de Bleachers Forever Tour rond het aankomende album "Everyone for Ten Minutes", dat verschijnt op 22 mei 2026 via Dirty Hit.

Onder leiding van Jack Antonoff groeide Bleachers het afgelopen decennium uit tot een van de meest herkenbare namen binnen de alternatieve pop. Als producer en songwriter stond Antonoff mee aan de basis van invloedrijke albums van onder meer Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey en St. Vincent, goed voor meerdere Grammy Awards. Met Bleachers koos hij bewust voor een persoonlijker traject waarin hij opnieuw zelf centraal kwam te staan als songwriter en frontman.
Dat persoonlijke uitgangspunt hoor je ook in de muziek van de band. Bleachers combineren groots opgezette, nostalgische pop met directe en emotioneel geladen songwriting, vaak omschreven als een typische "New Jersey-sound" in de traditie van onder meer Bruce Springsteen.
Na het succes van het album "Bleachers" (2024), met onder meer "Modern Girl", "Tiny Moves" en "Alma Mater", verschijnt op 22 mei 2026 de nieuwe plaat "Everyone for Ten Minutes", voorafgegaan door de recente singles "You and Forever" en "Dirty Wedding Dress". Op die nieuwe songs trekt Bleachers hun herkenbare lijn verder open: persoonlijk, melodieus en gemaakt om live samen met het publiek te groeien.
Met die release trekt de band opnieuw op tour. In Brussel krijgen die nieuwe songs straks hun plaats waar ze het best werken: op een podium, tussen publiek.

When MONO recorded their previous album, OATH, with longtime production partner and friend, Steve Albini in 2023, they never fathomed that it would be the final studio album they made together. Albini tragically died the following year, and that loss left an incalculable void in the lives of not just everyone who ever knew Steve, but everyone with an attachment to any of the thousands of records he helped bring into world over the past four decades. He brought a clarity to the chaos, and a selfless sense of service to art and artists that was unrivaled. On both a personal and practical level, the loss left MONO faced with profound grief and uncertainty. Albini had become a fundamental part of MONO’s unmistakable sound, and the thought of replacing him was daunting, to say the least. Enter: Brad Wood (Touché Amoré, The Smashing Pumpkins).
Chosen for both his familiarity with MONO’s creative and technical working process – as well as his decades-long friendship with Steve Albini – Brad Wood entered Albini’s storied Electrical Audio studios in September 2025 to record what would become Snowdrop. Once again working with Chicago-based conductor and orchestral musical director, Chad McCullough, MONO enlisted a 10-piece orchestra as well as an 8-piece choir for the eight massive pieces that make up Snowdrop. With the band performing and Wood recording in the same hallowed space where most of MONO’s records had been made in their quarter-century history, the songs on Snowdrop carry an extra weight. Mixed by Wood at his Seagrass home studio in Los Angeles, the album is equally intimate and enveloping.
Where there could easily be a pall hanging over Snowdrop, there is instead an extraordinary air of gratitude. Rather than steep in heartache, there is a poignant appreciation for the resonance of life well-spent with a dear friend – and the yearning for what may come. Snowdrop is the sound of a band turning shock and sadness into hope and wonder – and finding renewed focus in the freedom of unknowing.

Van 3 tot en met 5 juli wordt het Groentheater in het Ossegempark, vlak bij het Atomium, opnieuw het kloppend hart van het Brosella Festival. Met een uitgesproken en avontuurlijke line-up bevestigt het festival zijn rol als toonaangevend platform voor actuele jazz en urban etno, muziek die geworteld is in traditie maar resoluut vooruitkijkt.
De affiche brengt een twintigtal artiesten samen, waaronder Dhafer Youssef, Nneka, Cheikh Lô, Amaro Freitas, Joel Ross, Elina Duni & Rob Luft Quartet, Folk Bitch Trio, Greg Foat Trio en Adrian Younge. Daarnaast zorgen projecten zoals BXL x LDN Interplay III, Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, Bamako Express, MixMonk Supreme en Jaune Toujours voor een programma dat moeiteloos schakelt tussen continenten, stijlen en generaties. Internationale topartiesten delen het podium met opkomend talent, waarmee Brosella zich bevestigt als een nieuwsgierig, open en veeleisend festival.

Programma per dag
Vrijdag 3 juli opent het festival met een exclusieve avond rond Dhafer Youssef, een zeldzame kans om zijn hypnotiserende mix van jazz en Midden-Oosterse tradities live te ervaren.
Zaterdag 4 juli staat in het teken van de urban etno-scène: een energieke en dansbare dag waar Afrikaanse, Europese en diasporische invloeden samenkomen.
Zondag 5 juli is volledig gewijd aan jazz, van intieme akoestische sets tot hybride en grensverleggende vormen, met zowel gevestigde namen als nieuw talent.
Familieconcerten
Ook jonge bezoekers krijgen een volwaardige plek met vijf familieconcerten, in samenwerking met Jeunesses Musicales.

POND reveal news of their latest album Terrestrials, out on 19th June, on their own newly coined imprint Mangovision via Secretly Distribution, alongside a stream of headline dates in the US this July-September. Marking the announcement is their latest single and video ‘Two Hands’.
Speaking about the new single ‘Two Hands’, Nicholas Allbrook shares “This song is about when mining company Rio Tinto blew up Juukun Gorge in the Hammersley Range in Western Australia. They destroyed sacred rock shelters that were of the highest archaeological, cultural and spiritual significance. The rock shelters contained a cultural sequence spanning 46, 000 years that had been taken care of by the local Indigenous communities. I was wondering how the commentators around this country would've reacted if the shoe was on the other foot and someone had demolished the Vatican or Notre Dame or St. Paul’s because it was in the way of their corporate expansion. Anyway, its a little word of encouragement that you’ve got every right to be very fucking angry about this injustice.”
Ceremoniously distilling the forthcoming record’s intent into a playful caricature through ‘Two Hands’s music video, Allbrook continues, “The video was made by us and Sam Kristofski (with heaps of help from Tess Thompson, Kate Green and Christian Dillon). We filmed it in York and the Beverley Offroad Motorsports Association on one of the hottest days of the summer. Az was tough enough to wear full leathers the whole time. Endless thanks to him and Ry for fully embodying the soul of this video with their enduring passion for dust, rust, black cans, circlework and fucked up old motorcars.”
The group of Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland, exist to create – the myriad of crossovers between their projects individually and the scene they first put on the map continues today – and that pursuit is set to persist forever no doubt. Yet for the first time in POND’s history, the recording process on their 11th was subject to a simple set of rules: No fuzz pedal. No ballads. No “Pink Floyd shit”.
Conceived from a place of reverence for a particularly potent epoch in Oz rock, Terrestrials mines the sound of open sky melancholia, heat haze sizzling on the plains and jangly pub backrooms that hits an eternally poignant nerve for anyone familiar with the sound, time and place. From there Terrestrials evolved and the idea of “Goths at the pub” became the record’s stylistic north star - iconic 80s Australiana being acid-washed with the eyeliner-stained post-punk of Sisters Of Mercy, Magazine and the like. “Would Goths like it?” “Could you have a beer to this?” If the answers were yes it was thrust into the mix.
Like much of the Pond catalogue, Terrestrials is a record of people and place, of exploring the identity of each, as well as where and how they intersect and interact. Extractive capitalism, power dynamics, inequality, indigenous incarceration, eccentric outcasts, fire and water, diesel and dust, unity and division, blood and bauxite, unborn tomorrows and dead yesterdays - it’s all there. Terrestrials twitches with the desperation of people and planet on the brink, but ultimately bets on the beauty of both to prevail.
Earlier POND shared the title track to support across NME, CLASH, The Line of Best Fit, DORK and more remarking on the song’s “strutting, preening glam-rock/new wave energy”. Following on from the announcement of their US dates supporting Djo – the musical project of actor, producer, and songwriter Joe Keery, known for his work in Stranger Things and Fargo – POND today announce a stream of headline shows across the US this July-September and will also appear locally at Against the Grain Festivalin Brisbane in June, with more Australian shows to be announced. Steve Gunn released his 7th studio album Daylight Daylight back in November. Aquarium Drunkard dubbed it “an absolute masterwork” while MOJO called it “remarkable,” going to to say: “[it] remains a spare, transient, restrained thing. Yet it’s that restraint that ultimately defines it’s brilliance”
Now Gunn announces a 4-song companion EP out this Friday April 10th. The set features two new songs and two Daylight Daylight tracks remixed by Pete “Sonic Boom” Kember (of Spacemen 3).
On having Kember remix his work, Gunn says:
Sonic Boom’s music has been in my ear for a long time, and it has shaped the way I hear and think about songs. Working with him feels like a deep moment, because his music has meant so much to me over the years. I’m so grateful that he has put his touch on these songs
The two new songs were again recorded with Daylight Daylight producer/collaborator James Elkington, with recording taking place at both Gunn’s home studio and Elkington’s Nada Studios. The full EP will be available both digitally and as a limited edition 12”.

Parcels deelt livesessie van ‘ifyoucall’. Live op Pukkelpop en Lowlands 2026
Nu kondigt het Australische, in Berlijn gevestigde vijftal Parcels nieuwe tourdata aan voor de Verenigde Staten en Mexico in het najaar. De tour vormt een verlengstuk van hun Noord‑Amerikaanse reeks van vorig jaar, waarmee de band hun veelgeprezen album LOVED live voorstelde. Naast de aangekondigde tour in de VS en Mexico is Parcels deze zomer ook live te zien in de Benelux, met optredens op Lowlands en Pukkelpop.
Tegelijk met de aankondiging deelt Parcels ook een gloednieuwe live sessie van het albumnummer “Ifyoucall”.

Parcels staan bekend om hun meeslepende en energieke liveshows. Muziekplatform Consequence omschreef hun concerten als “een van de meest engagerende en extatische live‑ervaringen van het moment”. Starman records news - 'The Soul Of Kindness', het nieuwe album van Isle Of Men

Isle Of Men is de band rond ex-muziekjournalist, gitarist en songwriter Dirk Fryns met Gunther Verspecht (Stash)en all-round keyboard maestro Tom Van der Schueren en Herman ''ht Roberts" Temmerman (Bas en Productie). Ze debuteerden in 2015 op indrukwekkende wijze met het album ‘Voluntary Blindness’ .
Nu is er eindelijk een even sfeervolle en impressionante opvolger met het album “The Soul Of Kindness” dat op 1 Mei 2026 zal verschijnen.
Als eerste single verscheen op 27 maart “Weeping Water”.

"Net voor de oorlog in Oekraïne uitbrak in 2022 kwam Luna met het laatste transport uit Cherson in België aan. We hadden haar toevallig op een site voor asielhonden gevonden en voelden meteen dat ze hier in Gent een tweede thuis zou vinden. Een drietal weken nadat ze een onderdeel van ons gezin was geworden, kregen we het bericht dat haar asiel volledig was verwoest door Russische bombardementen… Luna staat op de cover van het tweede album van de Gentse band Isle Of Men. Haar doordringende blik geeft extra gewicht aan de titel van de plaat, ‘The Soul Of Kindness’. Verwarrende tijden hebben nood aan reflectie en schoonheid, aan het stilzetten van de chaos om in alle rust af te dalen in het universum van de negen songs op het album.
De eerste opnames dateren reeds van 2017 en vormen de basis van deze plaat. Meerdere opnamesessies zorgden voor extra diepgang maar ‘The Soul Of Kindness’ kreeg zijn vaste vorm in de loop van 2025 in de homestudio van producer Herman Temmerman. Uit een twintigtal nummers werden er negen geselecteerd voor de vinylrelease en een bonustrack voor de cd en streamingdiensten. Isle Of Men gelooft in de kracht van een album en het verhaal dat er op die manier verteld wordt. Geen verstikkende ‘drie-minuten-grens-popsongregel’, elke noot krijgt voldoende ademruimte, elk detail de juiste omkadering om op te vallen en te bekoren. Onnodig te vermelden dat het album groeit na elke luisterbeurt en bijzonder ‘koptelefoonfähig’ is.
Opener ‘Love’s Loyal Journeyman’ onderstreept vanaf de eerste noot het filmische karakter van de plaat en is de perfecte aangever voor het meer dan zes minuten durende ‘Salomé’, drie songs voor de prijs van één maar onderhuids perfect met elkaar verbonden. ‘Like Salomé you wanted my head brought on a plate so you could dance around the ashes of a once and shining faith…’ Elk woord en elke zin moest juist zitten. Single ‘Weeping Water’ baadt in een seventies Fender Rhodes-sfeer die overgaat in een desolaat maar toch rijkelijk klinkend ‘The Solitary Moon’. Toegegeven, de geest van David Gilmour hangt over de eerste minuten van ‘Brilliant Disguise’ maar hij is dan ook 80 geworden dit jaar. Bekijk het als een mooi eerbetoon want even later zit je weer diep in Isle Of Men-land waar ‘pleasure is the orphan child of pain’. De ‘murder ballad’ ‘Icarus Soul’, de zoektocht van een verloren ziel naar Bijbelse en tastbare liefde in ‘God Is Gone’ en ‘Row Row’ - een eerbetoon via een wiegelied aan de dappere, veel te vroeg gestorven Aza – leggen de juiste toon voor afsluiter ‘Winning A War’. ‘Kindness laughed and showed her secret face. The smile of God, a peaceful place. A blissful hallelujah from above, blessing those who really long for love…’ ‘Need we say more’ in tijden als dit?"
