Niet wandelen, maar rennen naar Kavka Zappa want de Brits-Ierse boyband December 10 houdt er halt op zaterdag 27 juni 2026! Na het wereldwijde succes van Simon Cowells Netflix-serie 'The Next Act' en hitsingles "Run My Way" en "Angel", maakt de groep zich klaar om de harten van de Belgische fans te veroveren.
Sinds Simon Cowell in de zomer van 2024 zijn zoektocht naar de "volgende megasterren" startte, is de hype rond December 10 niet meer te stoppen. In de Netflix-docureeks 'Simon Cowell: The Next Act' zagen miljoenen kijkers hoe de band werd gevormd. Hoewel Cowell oorspronkelijk vijf leden zocht, besloot hij uiteindelijk alle zeven finalisten te behouden. Het resultaat is een zevenkoppige sensatie die in een mum van tijd de wereld veroverde: Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves en Seán Hayden.
Na hun virale cover van NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" bewijzen ze nu met eigen materiaal dat ze de rechtmatige opvolgers zijn in het rijtje van boyband-legendes. Met hun debuutsingle "Run My Way" bereikten ze meteen de UK Singles Chart, gevolgd door hun meest recente release "Angel". Gewapend met hun debuut-EP, die deze zomer verschijnt, start de groep hun Europese tour in juni. Iceage announce their sixth studio album, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter, will be out May 29th via Mexican Summer and release the new single "Ember." For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is Iceage's tightest album to date, even glossy at times, but not tight enough to dull its pulse. With wordless howls, nastily detuned riffs that bend into harmony, breakdowns, handclaps, and a chaotic choral break seemingly played on pennywhistles, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is a showcase of the band's fundamental curiosity and trust in their instincts. There is no affectation or prescription to this record—no palette of curated influence or sought sound. It is the sum total of inspirations, shared openly in the name of playing and playing's pleasures.
Following lead single "Star," today's single and album opener "Ember" formally introduces For Love of Grace & the Hereafter. The track begins as a louche warmup, a sliding run-through of chords without particular direction follows while a glockenspiel picks out a lead line. Suddenly we're off, barrelling down the street. The song is an extended hand with a raised eyebrow, inviting its subject to race through the city in love, catching breath in an alley and then going again. Vocalist Elias Rønnenfelt's "I love you in an ominous way" is a direct moment of clarity, until the rose-tinted melody spills into controlled mayhem. The accompanying video was directed by the band and Ira Rønnenfelt.
Over 18 years and five studio albums, Iceage — Rønnenfelt, guitarist Johan Suurballe Wieth, drummer Dan Kjær Nielsen, guitarist Casper Morilla Fernandez, and bassist Jakob Tvilling Pless — have worked inside the idea of collapse. It is a way of playing, singing and songwriting, almost falling apart and pulling together at once — a tumbling through life in song, catching it as it goes.
Produced and mixed by the band and Nis Bysted, For Love of Grace & the Hereafter was recorded last year at Silence Studio, a modest house in rural Sweden near the Norwegian border. Twelve years ago they recorded 2014's Plowing Into the Field of Love at the same studio; it's no coincidence it's the only time they have returned to a studio to cut a record. The band wanted to capture the same intense energy. "The songs needed to be immediate, urgent, raw, and fast," Rønnenfelt reveals. "We wanted to try to shed any unnecessary weight. Catching outlets of energy is what excites us the most."
The band leaned on their experiences and the thousands of hours on stages they've shared since they were teenagers. The setup was as minimal as possible: making decisions live and not overthinking, patient full takes with minimal overdubs. The lyrics were written only a few weeks before entering the studio to prevent the overall picture from being too fragmented and to increase the sense of risk and urgency.
For Love of Grace & the Hereafter is bright and energetic. It's both fun and as serious as ever, growing and glowing through love. Across six albums, Iceage have found salvation, notably through the throes of true love, both romantic and brotherly. Everything has been leading up to this moment for the band: a communal, cathartic collapse, and a full circle moment where contentment and chaos can live in clarity.

De EP die bestaat uit vier liedjes laat de twee kanten van de band horen. Aan de ene kant harmonisch en dromerig, waar de band hun vocalen en talentvolle spel inzetten. En daartegenover staat de meer opzwepende kant die ook hun liveshows kenmerkt. Hier maken de strijkers en harmonieën plaats voor elektrische gitaarriffs en synths.

Off the back of his 2025 debut EP Puppies - which drew praise from leading music publications - much-loved, up-and-coming singer-songwriter Noonzy returns with his brand new single, Yeah (I'm In), out now via Play It Again Sam.
Reflecting on the new uptempo single, Noonzy says, "The song lives in that space between fear and desire—when you stop overthinking, trust the feeling, and give yourself completely to the moment. The chord progression loops almost hypnotically, but the ever-evolving bass line keeps it moving forward so it never stands still." He continues, "The vocals sit elegantly on top, giving the track a light, breezy feel while still carrying a sense of emotion and longing. It's about surrendering to the moment and letting the feeling take you wherever it wants to go."
Antwerp-based songwriter Noonzy (Arnaud Stockbroekx) began his music career in 2022 with his EP Post-it-tapes, featuring laid-back acoustic guitar tracks like idk, Spider Monkey, Awkward Feet and Let's See the World – which earned him a spot in the finals of De Nieuwe Lichting a year later. Since then, he has released a number of singles, which eventually made their way onto his 2025 debut EP Puppies via [PIAS] Recordings.
Following this, his style evolved further into groovy electronic productions in which his artistic identity became increasingly distinct, and he eventually embarked on a new path, bidding farewell to his former DIY, lo-fi indie approach and making room for experimentation and a loss of control within a pop format.

Massive Attack and Tom Waits today release a new collaboration Boots on the Ground, with an exclusive to vinyl B-side provided by Waits – a droll and sardonic spoken word piece entitled The Fly. This new track marks the first release of highly anticipated new Massive Attack material.
The band also shares an accompanying film, working with enigmatic US photo artist thefinaleye. This evocative, high-intensity montage portrays a momentous American epoch that is yet to be named, and comes in the aftermath of the largest public protests in American history – focused on opposition to ICE raids, the militarisation of domestic forces, and state authoritarianism.
Alongside the film and track release, on Friday April 17th, Massive Attack will publish an exclusive spoken word reflection on the themes of the work from novelist Omar El Akkad, author of the novels "American War" and "What Strange Paradise", and nonfiction masterpiece "One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This."
Boots on the Ground is the first Massive Attack music distributed under a Spotify exemption policy. Further releases are scheduled prior and subsequent to the band's run of live performances, including their forthcoming European tour and summer festival headlines
Massive Attack will be donating all profits from the sale of the vinyl edition to the American Civil Liberties Union and the US Immigrant Defense Project.

Sziget Festival 2026 – 11 augustus t-m 15 augustus 2026 - Sziget Festival kondigt Skrillex aan als afsluitende act op zaterdag
Sziget Festival heeft opnieuw een grote naam toegevoegd aan de line-up voor de aankomende editie: Skrillex sluit op zaterdag 15 augustus de Main Stage af. Hij voegt zich bij eerder aangekondigde artiesten als Zara Larsson, Sombr, Twenty One Pilots, Lewis Capaldi, Florence + The Machine, Skepta, Bring Me The Horizon en Jorja Smith. Met deze aankondiging is de afsluiter van de laatste dag van het festival bekendgemaakt.
De Amerikaanse dj en producer Skrillex geldt al jaren als een van de meest invloedrijke artiesten binnen de elektronische muziek. Met zijn kenmerkende sound en indrukwekkende liveshows bracht hij dubstep naar het grote publiek. Zijn laatste optreden op Sziget was in 2024, waar hij die dag een bezoekersrecord neerzette.
Dit jaar staat Skrillex slechts op een beperkt aantal Europese podia, met Sziget als een van de belangrijkste stops. Als afsluiter van de Main Stage op zaterdag - tevens de laatste festivaldag - verzorgt hij de finale in Boedapest.
Sziget Festival vindt van 11 t/m 15 augustus plaats op het Óbuda-eiland in Boedapest, waar elke zomer bezoekers uit de hele wereld samenkomen. Jaarlijks trekken ook heel veel Nederlandse en Belgische bezoekers naar het festival en staan er ook artiesten uit deze landen op het programma. Dit jaar maken onder meer Sef, Soulwax, John Coffey, Joris Voorn, Sylvie Kreusch, Altin Gün, LAMMER en AUTOFLOWER b2b Sam Hofman hun opwachting. In de beroemde Magic Mirror staat het Amsterdamse collectief House of Circus straks vijf avonden achter elkaar.
Het meerdaagse festival biedt daarnaast een uitgebreid kunst, dans en cultuurprogramma, waar binnenkort meer informatie over volgt.
Bezoekers kunnen overnachten op het eiland; op heel veel plekken mogen zij hun tent neer zetten. Voor wie meer comfort zoekt, zijn er diverse glampingopties beschikbaar, of kan worden gekozen voor een overnachting in Boedapest.

Sixteen years ago, a young Erasmus student called Aylin Feizula missed her plane to go surfing and ended up at one of our The Subs concerts in Porto (Portugal) instead. She was in the crowd, I was on stage, and when she came backstage that night, it just... clicked. We kissed in this old theater turned into a rave, surrounded by props and chaos, and that was it. This song needed to exist because it's about how one random moment can become your entire life — and sometimes, an entire band's. De artieste bouwt momenteel sterk momentum op, ze ging viraal op TikTok, waar haar sound en visuals snel worden opgepikt, met momenteel meer dan 1 miljoen views op Youtube, en 1,2 miljoen streams op Spotify waar 1 op 5 het nummer opslaat bij zijn favorieten. Dancing on the Ice stijgt ook gestaag in de PlayRight Top 100 en zorgt voor een sterke virale verspreiding op TikTok, met name via talrijke, soms erg grappige memes.
Na haar eerste liveshows bij The Voice België en in de studios van Tipik (Rtbf Radio), blonk Essyla ook uit tijdens Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, een van de grootste pre-shows die voorafgaand aan het songfestival worden georganiseerd. Voor een publiek van duizenden fans en professionals leverde ze een onberispelijk prestatie, wat een belangrijke mijlpaal vormde in haar voorbereiding voor Wenen.
