KÁRYYN shares the follow-up track to COLLAPSE PHASE with END TO KNOWING YOU, taken from her forthcoming 10-track album PHYSICS UNIVERSAL LOVE LANGUAGE (PULL), out May 29 via Mute. The track is paired with the official video directed by Jenna Marsh, and produced by Black Dog Films.
The latest single END TO KNOWING YOU, is a sensual elegy straddling the edge between toxic and unrelenting love. It exists in the space between desire and detachment, where bodies ache to merge but timelines fracture on impact. This is not a love song, but a spiritual confession, a map of magnetism, gravitational obsession, telepathy, and spiritual polarity. The track reflects psychic recursion, ecstatic polarity, and erotic grief, exploring love that cannot be lived but will not dissolve. As the laws of energetics go, nothing truly ends—it only transforms. Like a mantra, she sings: "I can let it go, I can let it go... but there is no end to knowing you."
The video was conceived by KÁRYYN and directed by Jenna Marsh - whose work includes collaborations with Charli XCX and Eartheater - and was produced by Black Dog Films, part of Ridley Scott's production company. Choreography is by Supple Nam, known for projects with Guinness and Lucozade as well as influential music and performance works, and the video features dancer Danni Spooner - resulting in a bold, immersive, and highly expressive performance.
PHYSICS UNIVERSAL LOVE LANGUAGE (PULL) is the latest album from Syrian-Armenian-American singer and producer, KÁRYYN. The new album is a body of work distilled from years of lived exploration into existence, intimacy, and time, where sound becomes the structure through which truth is communicated. KÁRYYN's voice is the gravitational centre, carrying both weight and fragility as it shapes the record's sonic world.
PHYSICS UNIVERSAL LOVE LANGUAGE (PULL) was executive produced by KÁRYYN and James Ford and co-produced with Hudson Mohawke, with additional production by Jacques Greene, Steve Nalepa, Luca Perry, and Duncan Fuller. String arrangement & performances by Raven Bush, alongside qanun performances by the internationally acclaimed Syrian qanun player, Maya Youssef. The album was mixed by Marta Salogni and mastered by Joker.
Built from voice, strings, modular synths and gravitational beats tuned to 432Hz, the record incorporates string arrangements informed by Armenian and Middle Eastern musical traditions, woven quietly into rhythm and melody as the record spans the intimate and the expansive. At its heart, PHYSICS UNIVERSAL LOVE LANGUAGE (PULL) is a declaration of courage, connection and renewal; the willingness to confront, collapse, feel and rise. Cass McCombs – whose work New York Magazine has praised as "smart, wise, playful, literary, and often funny" – has announced a new split 7" with Hand Habits, the project of Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Meg Duffy.
The release pairs two new tracks: McCombs' "Seeing The Elephant" and Hand Habits' "Good Person," and will be issued via Domino and Fat Possum. McCombs' "Seeing The Elephant" arrives today alongside a video directed by Larry Unrein.
A limited-edition 7" vinyl pressing will be available exclusively on McCombs' Interior Live Oak Live North American tour.

The Interior Live Oak Live tour kicked off March 19 in New York City. At the opening show, comedian Adam Friedland introduced McCombs with a bold declaration: "In my opinion, Cass McCombs is the greatest singer-songwriter in the world." Stereogum was in attendance and later shared a live clip, writing: "The veteran musician made a compelling case for the superlative at LPR, delivering a revelatory two-hour set of psych-folk and indie rock to kick off the tour."
The 29-date run marks McCombs' first since the 2025 release of his critically acclaimed album Interior Live Oak, which Pitchfork named one of the year's best rock albums. Hand Habits will join as support on West Coast dates from April 4-11, performing solo in Seattle, Portland, Petaluma, and San Francisco before appearing with a full band in Los Angeles.

Sziget Festival heeft de line-up voor het elektronische programma bekendgemaakt. Na het debuut vorig jaar heeft de Delta District zich ontwikkeld tot een vaste plek binnen het festival. In het district, waar alles draait om elektronische muziek, staan drie verschillende podia en treden meer dan 100 acts op, waaronder Peggy Gou, Sara Landry, Indira Paganotto, Sub Focus, Argy en Richie Hawtin. Nieuw op de line-up zijn onder meer Anfisa Letyago, Patrick Mason, Mestiza, LAMMER en Lucky Done Gone.
Het Delta District bestaat uit het Yettel Colosseum, de BOLT Night Stage en The Club. Op deze drie podia vinden bezoekers een breed aanbod aan elektronische muziek: van grotere shows op de Night Stage tot intiemere clubsets in The Club. Het beroemde Yettel Colosseum - een 360 graden open air stage, opgebouwd uit houten pallets - is het hart van het Delta District.
'Met het Delta District hebben we het nachtprogramma van Sziget verder ontwikkeld, met ruimte voor verschillende stijlen binnen de elektronische muziek,' zegt Tamás Kádár, CEO van Sziget Festival. 'Van sets in het zonlicht bij het Colosseum tot dansen tot in de vroege ochtenduren: het is een 24/7-ervaring voor liefhebbers van elektronische muziek.'
Op het programma staan onder anderen Peggy Gou en de Amerikaanse hardtechno-dj Sara Landry. Ook Anfisa Letyago, Patrick Mason en Mestiza zijn bevestigd. Van Indira Paganotto en de Japanse DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U en Argy weten we nu dat ze in Delta District staan. Vanuit Nederland reizen dit jaar onder meer Joris Voorn, LAMMER, Lucky Done Gone en Jamback af naar Boedapest.
Van 11 t/m 15 augustus 2026 vindt Sziget Festival plaats op het Óbuda-eiland in Boedapest. Het Hongaarse festival biedt een brede mix van muziek, cultuur en andere programmaonderdelen, met de Delta District als centraal onderdeel van het nachtprogramma.
Elektronische muziek is ook op andere podia te vinden, met artiesten als Underworld, Nia Archives en Soulwax. Daarnaast staan onder meer Florence + The Machine, Jorja Smith, Lewis Capaldi, Twenty One Pilots en Sombr op het programma.

De Nederlandse sopraan en frontvrouw Dianne van Giersbergen brengt vandaag 'The Quietude' uit, de nieuwe (zevende) single van haar symfonisch metal debuutalbum: 'Soulward Bound'. De release van 'Soulward Bound' komt op een unieke en onconventionele manier tot stand: verspreid over vijf jaar, met twee singles per jaar. Het volledige album zal rondom de release van de tiende en laatste single verschijnen. Door te kiezen voor deze manier van releasen kan DIANNE voor ieder nummer een wisselende bezetting van bekende en gerenommeerde internationale rock- en metalmuzikanten presenteren.
Ook haar nieuwe single, 'The Quietude', heeft weer een bijzonder verhaal en bezetting. Het is een prachtig duet tussen twee operastemmen, gezongen door DIANNE en de wereldberoemde sopraan Elena Vink, die tevens DIANNE's hoofdvakdocent (zang) was tijdens haar bachelor en master studies klassieke muziek aan het conservatorium. Het duet wordt begeleid door een vioolpartij van Ben Mathot (Ayreon), cello door Perttu Kivilaakso (Apocalyptica) en orkestratie door Joost van den Broek (Epica, Powerwolf, Sabaton).
'The Quietude' markeert het einde van een tijdperk. In deze laatste uitvoering van haar carrière zingt Elena Vink samen met DIANNE een duet dat een ware overdracht van de fakkel symboliseert: een prachtig laatste eerbetoon aan Elena's nalatenschap als docent en uitvoerend klassiek zangeres.
DIANNE: "De zevende song van mijn album heeft échte diepgang. Je hoort mij samen met sopraan Elena Vink, de vrouw die me alle kneepjes van het klassieke stemvak heeft geleerd - en die met het zingen van dit duet afscheid neemt van een glansrijke carrière. Het thema van 'The Quietude' is een gesprek tussen de dromen najagende artiest die DIANNE heden ten dage is, het kind dat ze ooit was en de vrouw die ze hoopt te worden. De drie generaties ontmoeten elkaar in een tijdloos vacuüm en spreken over hun levensdoelen, herinneringen en dromen. Het nummer is een vriendelijke herinnering aan de luisteraar om het heden te omarmen en het verleden te koesteren: 'Life is golden, behold the flame within.'

Het begin van de festivalzomer ziet er veelbelovend uit! ROCK ZOTTEGEM 26 wordt opnieuw een XL-feestversie. Zottegem wordt drie dagen lang het hart van de festivalzomer. Once again Emily Dickinson’s words lie at the core of the musical impulse of 'Great Streets Of Silence Led Away', the second single of the album. The band grips the counterpoint and pulls it decisively toward noise rather than silence. Sound and silence feel more tightly bound than ever, as the noisy guitar solo seems to reveal. As the piece comes to a close, the text reads: “But Epoch had no basis here / For Period exhaled.”

With ‘Celebrity Culture Simp Farm’, DOODSESKADER take aim at one of today’s most unsettling phenomena: our collective obsession with validation and the figures at the top of that “validation food chain”, from politicians and artists to influencers and streamers. The track was born out of a deep sense of exhaustion with a culture that increasingly rewards image over humanity.
Songwriter Tim De Gieter penned the song at a moment of frustration with the constant pressure to appear flawless, wealthy, attractive and untouchable in order to remain relevant. In a world where public figures are pushed to present immaculate, highly curated versions of themselves, the band questions who we choose to idolize, and why.
Yet ‘Celebrity Culture Simp Farm’ is not simply pointing fingers. The song also turns inward, serving as a wake-up call to reconsider where our time, money and attention are going. Who truly deserves our admiration, and who is merely benefiting from it?

Belgian duo DOODSESKADER return today with The Change Is Me, their third full-length album and most immediate, uncompromising statement to date. Out now via their own label 45 Records, the record marks a bold departure from the band’s previous “Year” cycle and captures a moment of artistic and personal transformation.
Blurring the lines between witch house, hip-hop, industrial dream pop, and stadium rock, The Change Is Me is a volatile, genre-defying experience. Built on grungy 90s melodies, distorted synths, sludgy bass and a mix of rapping, singing, and raw emotional outbursts, the album pulls listeners into a chaotic yet deeply human journey.
Following Year Zero (2020), Year One (2022), and Year Two (2024), DOODSESKADER initially set out to continue their annual release trajectory with a fourth installment. Instead, after completing an entire album over the course of eight months, the band made the radical decision to scrap it entirely. The result is The Change Is Me: written and recorded in just one week at Much Luv Studio, capturing the duo exactly as they are now.
“We’re people with faults and strengths, and we realized we needed to accept it,” the band explains. “This project is meant to be a document of us and of the human condition, not a self-improvement handbook.”
Conceptually, the album signals a shift. Where earlier releases wrestled with self-improvement and escaping the past, The Change Is Me embraces acceptance and presence. Across its 40-minute runtime, DOODSESKADER channel frustration with a world in decline into a unifying, forward-looking energy - turning confrontation into something resilient and defiantly positive.

We’re also excited to reveal that Camille Camille’s sophomore album, “Enchanted Sea”, is set for release on May 29 (which is also Camille’s birthday)!
For the video, Camille Camille collaborated with Madrid-based photographer and visual artist Elisa Soto. After years of being inspired by each other’s work, the pair finally met to bring their art together.
“Working with Elisa had been a dream of mine for a long time. Letting her bring her visual poetry to J’ai Rêvé felt like a natural and obvious choice. Her dreamlike work and strong sensibility for colour have a rare authenticity, and I feel so blessed to share this collaboration with the world.”

“To be honest, I had to dive into my voice memos to find the first drafts of J’ai rêvé and remember when and where it came to be. I quickly found an early recording under that name, dated February 17th, 2021, and then went on to look for a photo from that same day. It was a picture of the lyrics coming out of my yellow typewriter in my bedroom at the time, in Leipzig.
I was navigating a long-distance relationship during the COVID years. Life - and pretty much everything - felt so uncertain. The only thing I could hold on to was hope and trust that life would do its thing and bring us together again somewhere, someday.
After performing the song with just my guitar for a few years, I recorded the first demo at home in Ghent in 2024, where the song took a new turn. I started hearing marching band–like drums and flutes, as if they were played by angels descending straight from heaven, telling me that everything would be okay. With the help of my acolyte Felix Baele (bass/charango), my friend Orlan Ghekiere (drums), and the flute kid inside me, J’ai rêvé - originally a sad sailor’s ballad - simultaneously became a joyful hymn to love and hope.”
